Have a model 3060. Cannot get it to suck up the water from floor. I have a new filter and cover and it fits great. Now what do I do?

Re: Won't suck up water from floor

Lay the machine on its back. Look at the 1"round clear spiral pipe uptake assembly. Mine spit open after 2 or 3 years of use and would not suck up (not with that 1" OPENING HA HA ) yOU NEED THE WATER UPTAKE ASSEMBLY for $15 bucks. Try at this site Hoover FloorMate Water HO-59177042 $14.99 Fis = H3000 Channel / Hose Assembly

Re: Won't suck up water from floor

1. Check all the tubes from the nozzle to the collection tank and make sure they are not clogged up. I've had tht happen pretty bad before. 2. Check the squeegee. If it is damaged or torn, replace it.

Suck hoover

If the wire is underneath the unit it won\'t suck up the water. I did this once. Make sure it is flush with the floor.

Will not dry or suck up water at all...BRAND NEW

If it's brand new your best bet might be taking it to a Hoover service center. That'll have a year warranty on it so the fix would be free.

Not sucking up the dirty water or it's sucking up water but it's not filling the recovery tank. I've tried reattaching the lid of the recovery tank and it doesn't look like it is sitting quite right.

This is one possibility. other things to look are the screen filter on the machine. intake hose behind the motor. ensure that accessory hose cover is closed when extracting water from the floor.

Hoover steam carpet cleaner brushes dont spin

There is a plastic cover over the spinner indicator. If you take the plastic cover off there is also a little filter in that area (almost like the spinner is on the floor and the filter is on the wall). If you clean this filter it may start working again. I had the same problem before and it worked for me. I found the info in the user's manual for my model. Hope this works for you as well.

Can't get it to **** up water from the carpet

Check the filter on the bottom side of the lid, make sure it has at least 1/4 inch gap from the top of the filter to the to of the lid. Is the lid secured all of the way around and not loose on the back part of it. Is the duct in place in front of the tank?

Tank not sitting tight

some bissell models this cant really be fixed but some can look at where the tank connects some bolt down some twist in and some have a rubber gasket between the the tank and the machine if this is the case, with the age of the machine the rubber gasket is probably worn out. try replacing it. that gasket flattens out with time and the connection gets loose and it sucks air and dont work. when you said if you pushed down on it it wotked that is a good sign that the gasket is shot. if nothig else find one that you can fit to the machine that will eliminate the loose fit. this will fix your prioblem.

Hoover floormate 3060

You should first check to make sure that the machine is set on wet pick up and not dry. When in dry mode ( the front foot pedal on the left side) the machine is held slightly above the floor. When is wet mode, the squeegees drop down to the floor. The other problem may be the wheel assy is broken. Turn the machine over and check the black plastic wheel carrier at the back of the assy to see if the pivots are broken.
