I just got a Jazz DV150 and it wont work right?

It will turn on, then shut right back off when it gets done reading the card. when i plug it into the computer and the computer wont register it's pluged in. it'll only stay on when i dont have the card in, but when i switch it off and on it'll turn back on then say "goodbye" when it's done reading the card.

At least it has the manners to say 'Goodbye'.

I have a feeling its going to have something to do with what Codecs your converter is using. To the best of my knowledge, the DV150 only supports a certain type of AVI. I'm sorry i can't be more help but i'm not really sure.

SOURCE: how do you unlock card

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SOURCE: New Jazz DV150. Installed

HI, I just got off the phone with a very nice man in NJ at Digitac. He walked me through a few fixes: Try a different SD card, clear SD card, put SD card in and then start camera, start camera and then put SD card in. None worked, so he said something is wrong with the camera computer and I will have to send the camera in for warranty work.

I have a Jazz dvx40 camcorder, ihad it about a mounth or so and whean i turned it on one day IT HAD THE JAZZ LOGO AND IT DIDN'TURN OFF HOW CAN I FIX IT AND SAVE MONEY???

Worth a try - remove batts and SD card. let it sit for 15 min, then install new batts and the SD card. One never knows what a cold boot can do!

When i have the card in the camera and turn it on it says reading card and it want let me do anything

You need to format the SD card correctly for the JAZZ to read it.
Google SDFormatter and use that - a standard windows format will not work for MOST cameras and video devices.

New Jazz DV150. Installed new batteries (tested) and SD card (tried switch in both locations). Powers on, says "Read card....", "Goodbye", powers off.

I Download music to Mp3 and it says no file on it, but it will play the songs on Windows Media Player.

Try not running the Syn software at all. Try copying the files over manually.

After plugging in the USB cable you should get a small popup that says its connected.

Click on "My computer" and under "Devices with removable storage" you should see a new device called DV.

double click on that and you should see 3 folders. DCIM, EBOOK, and MP3

Copy your mp3 files from your computer into the mp3 folder of the camera and it should work.
