Question about Acer AL Computers & Internet
I use the Acer AL1912 display on my docking station. Any time the laptop comes out of power saving mode (where the monitor is off) the entire raster is shifted up and to the right (by approx 1/2 inch). I need to hit the "Auto" button on the monitor to re-center the display on the monitor.

See if the problem happends in safe mode ( while booting hit F8 and aboot menu wil come up) if everything works fine then your issue will be the driver or a resulition that the display does not support or a refresh rate. Frist try to change the Res to a lower one and common (1024X768 or 800X600) also change the refresh to somewhere 70 to 75 and reboot if this dosent fix the problem try updating your video driver in safe mode

An unusual problem for a flat screen monitor.
I suggest you connect the monitor to another PC to see if the problem persists since it could also be caused by the video card (or circuit, if on board).
Check your cables making sure they are solidly connected and wiggle them to see if you can cause the problem to come or go away; this would crudely check the shielding of them.
This kind of aberration could easily happen with a conventional CRT monitor if power supply filtering was failing but as mentioned, uncommon in a monitor that is essentially digital.

It might be worth a try but the two different sizes could have differing resolutions and if they do, the boards are not likely interchangeable.

SOURCE: Any Drivers for ACER AL1912
With very few exceptions, LCD monitors do not require a driver. Almost always, and display setting issue is an issue with the Display adapter (Video Card) driver. The plug and Play monitor driver that is native to Windows should work just fine.
