To pair remotes with the Wii. There is a small Red button within the Battery compartment of the Wiimotes, and there is also a Sync Button on the Wii. Pressing these buttons at around the same time will allow the Devices to sync

Wii won't recognize remotes

You need to pair new remotes before you can use them. There are two buttons you need to push. One is under the battery cover of the Wii remote. The other is under a small over on the front of the Wii (where SD cards are inserted). Press the button on the remote and then the button on the Wii. The lights on the remote should flash for a bit and then stay on.

I apologize for such a delay in responding to your question. I had no idea you sent me a direct message until today. Have you solved your problem yet?

My original wii remote was working but now the lights dont come on i know the console is fine as my other remotes work fine can i repair my remote

Press a button on the Wii Remote, and if the lights blink, but don't stay on, then it might have a problem connecting to your Wii and you may have to re-sync it. If the lights do not come on at all, try changing the batteries to a completely new pair. If the lights still do not come on, part of the Wii Remote may be damaged and you may just have to use a different one.

I have synced the second remote but it does not show up in Wii Resort. The first remote says "OK" but it keeps telling me to add the second. Please help. I was trying to play Table Tennis.

easiest way will be to press and hold the red button under the flap on the wii console for 30 seconds . By pressing the button for 30 seconds you will wipe all pairings for all controllers the console has.

Just pair the remotes again normally and it should work fine

The power supply of my wii died, and I bought a new one. Now there is no video but there is sound. Any possible solution or should I send it to be repaired?

Your best bet is to try replacing the AV cords (try borrowing a friends if you can, this will tell you if it's an internal problem or a problem with the AV cords themselves). If this doesn't fix the problem, then you going to want to send it to be repaired.

What causes the remotes to stop responding to the system

There could be a few things.

1) if your Wii remote has a fresh pair of batteries you may need to sync it again.

2) This is the one that happend to me - The Wii Jacket wasn't on correctly and was covering the front; anything covering the front of the remote will cause it not to work.

3) If it doesn't have a new pair of batteries, consider switching them out.

4) Wii bar - if anything is in front of the Wii bar - anything preventing you from having a straight line from remote to sensor - this will cause it not to work.

If this doesn't help you completely, please let me know the problem a little more specifically. I would like to help you in any way I can - video game consoles are my expertise. I ask for a good rating to show that I'm on the right track and that you're pleased with the answer.

Respectfully,

- Don

The running games on my wii fit and wii fit plus don't work. I follow the instructions (off the balance board, remote in pocket or in hand), but can't get my mii to move in the game. Can you help?

This has to be your bluetooth movent sensor bar which presumably you have on the top of your TV set. This bluetooth connection will not work when more than 2.5m away from the sensor. If moving closer to the sensor doesn't work, Try borrowing another sensor bar. Make sure the switch on the balance board faces away form your TV set and the batteries are new or fully charged.

Lost remotes

Dear Johntbhoy

Well as far as the Nintendo Wii problem you have goes, all i know is that the remote control has a reset/ pairing button on the inside near the battery, This will pair the remote device to the Wii console. The console also has a pairing button on it, and this will need to be pressed as far as i know.

Referring to your user manual is probably a good place to start as the manufacturer most certainly is likely to include the instructions on pairing your remote to your console. If however you are prone to mis-placing manuals/ instructions (like i often do) then there is some help on offer here from the boys at http://www.retrevo.com

they have a website for user manuals, so check out the follwing link for stufff related to your gaming console at this link
http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/downloadPage.jsp?doc=0cdd5931f8bf0e644cb05be04008c71b&q=Nintendo+Wii

Now be warned, i did check out the file size for your manual and it is pretty large, so it might be best to avoid using a 56K line to pull your manual down from the FTP server ((you could be better off running down the pub for a few swift pints or 20 of stella artois while you wait for a 56K download in PDF format.

Now once you got your manual, dont forget to open the manual using adobe reader/ adobe acrobat. You get this tool from the internet and going to http://www.google.com will provide you the option of searching for a free download. Now for some strange reason, if you type the words "adobe reader free download" or "adobe acrobat free download" you will get given a link on where to go for your PDF reader ((wonder how this can be .lol)) and then the download is just a clickie bit away.

Well I hope that this is the fixya for you and please do let me know how you got on with this solution, in addition to this, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me at earliest opportunity.

Yours sincerely

Oz

Cursor does not appear

exchange it

    Cursor not appearing
Please note that our experience shows that this troubleshooting is best performed using only one (1) Wii Remote at a time.
  • Some games do not use the cursor feature of the Wii Remote; Make sure the game you are attempting to play uses the cursor by reading the game's instruction manual. You can also exit out of the game to return to the Channel Menu and use the Wii Remote to see the cursor. If the cursor still does not appear, continue with the steps below.

  • Trying to use multiple Wii Remotes in the Mii Channel or Photo Channel? These Channels only allow the Wii Remote designated as "Player 1" to function.

  • Verify that the Wii Remote's pointer lens is free of obstructions and contamination (stickers, heavy smudges, etc.). The pointer lens is the tinted rectangle at the end of the Wii Remote.

  • Check the battery power level by turning off the Wii console, then opening the battery cover of the Wii Remote. Press and release the red "SYNC" button to check battery strength. The number of lights flashing indicates the Wii Remote's battery strength. Four flashing lights indicates full strength. Our experience has shown that as your battery strength decreases to one (1) or less lights flashing, the cursor may not appear. For troubleshooting, if possible, try using fresh batteries so that all four lights illuminate. For guidelines on using batteries, please click here. If after inserting brand new batteries, you are still seeing less than all four LEDs flash, then your Wii Remote will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.

  • Is the Wii Remote properly synced?
Press the POWER button on the Wii Remote to see if the Wii console powers on.
    • If it does, the Wii Remote is synced with the system. Please skip to the next section.
    • If the power doesn't come on, power on the system manually and try syncing the Wii Remote.
      • If the Wii Remote will not sync, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
      • If the Wii Remote will sync and the cursor still does not appear, try another Wii Remote if possible.
        • If at least one Wii Remote is working, there is likely a problem with the first Wii Remote and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.
        • If you have only one Wii Remote, or none that are working, please continue troubleshooting.

  • Make sure that the Wii Remote is being used between 3' and 10' directly in front of the TV and that there are no bright light sources affecting the Wii Remote's operation (review Game Play Guidelines for more information), and that the Sensor Bar is placed properly (see Sensor Bar setup).
  • Check the cord on the Sensor Bar for any frayed wires or kinks, and verify that the Sensor Bar is free of obstructions.
  • Check the button functionality, and that the Sensor Bar is operating correctly, by accessing the Wii Main Menu. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to scroll side-to-side through the Wii Channel screens.
    • If you are able to scroll with the "+" and "-" buttons, but the cursor is not appearing, then there is likely a problem with the Sensor Bar. Please click here for additional Sensor Bar information.
    • If there is no response, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
