HL-5250 report shows fuser and laser life at 0% and PF kit 1 at 12%

The fuser is a separate component to the drum and toner in this printer. It has a much longer life than them but will run out eventually. Sadly a fuser unit is not a commercially available consumable for this printer either. I would recommend contatcing a printer technicain or Brother directly for a quote on replacing this part.

This message will appear if the drum unit is near the end of its life. Use the drum unit until you have a print quality problem, then replace the drum unit with a new one

My printer brother hl-2040 drum light is blinking what is the problem

Time for you to replace the laser drum unit in the printer.

the drum units have a life cycle of about 5000 pages and then need to be replaced. Order a new one from Office Depot and simply swap the units.

Cheers,

Keith

Brother hl-1430 :drum , ready and alarm leds flashing

This just means that your drum life has nearly reached his end.
Note that when you replace the drum you need to perform the drum counter reset procedure, otherwise the leds will keep on burning after replacing the drum unit.
