Question about GE Hotpoint RA724KWH Kitchen Range
My one year old oven clock is working fine but neither the burners nor the stove heat up at all. Since the clock is on, I know it is getting power so it is not a fuse. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot would be much appreciated.
Sheila, this is a electric oven. It's possible that your missing one leg of power. On the back where the cord attaches (terminal block) you should have 240V across the two outside terminals and 120V from each end terminal to the center terminal. You will have to see if you have that voltage. The clock will operate itself on 120V but the elements need the 240V. Also check your breaker box and reset the breaker.
