I actually tried that but to no avail. i moved the sound card to different slots to rule out the possibility of a faulty motherboard. also when i use cakewalk (multitrack recording program), my recordings have little pops that are intolerable. ive had some great performances that i had to can! to be more specific, the noise im hearing sounds like digital static. when i perform certain actions like changing from one program to another, i can actually hear the transition between windows.

Just rmove the PCi soundcard, clean the gold contact points using a rubber eraser, untill the gold color appears again.
Put it back and it will work!

Did you tried another sound card?

Did you check the configuration in the sound driver menu?

you should make sure the sound drivers are installed on your sound card
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

or you might have to download the drivershttp://www.boxdrivers.com

Logitech Notebook Quickcam (SOUND PROBLEM)

Normal 0 If you have your speakers turned up to high it will give you feedback causing distortion and static. Sometimes even awith the speakers turned down low, feedback is possible.
I recommend using a headset when videoing. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Pci tv captur card recarding time sound problem no sound

Most PCI capture cards are designed to receive digital audio and video from a source like a camera and send it to the hard drive for writing. If the sound from your recording device during playback is okay you can guess that the PCI card is doing what it is supposed to do. If video is recording properly I would say you have a speed mismatch between the PCI card and your hard drive.
