Question about Nokia 5220 XpressMusic Cellular Phone
My suggestion would be to try and free up more memory in your memory
card. to say, free space of 60 or 70MB. this is because some space may
be used on the memory card to build up database files of what music is
on your phone, akin to standalone mp3 players (for example, my old
iRiver x20 still needed 30 or 40MB free space otherwise it would display
similar out of memory messages). if this still does not work, then try
selecting the option in your phone Settings to Restore the Phone to
Factory Settings. let us know how it goes.
please throw some kudos our way, it would mean a lot to us
I got exactly the same problem, and I only restored my nokia 5130 back to factory settings, it took away most of the apps that came with the phone aswell, but that's another story I'm still trying to put together, anyways, I'm no I.T. genius or cellphone technician, but I think I know how to solve this mess, its the music player skins that got deleted somehow, and its located in the cellphone's hidden folders, I think its like 3 seperate skins you'll need to put back, but it's a massive mission. I'm gonna try that, and see if it works, and if it does, I'll reply again
a backup file of 2kb will repairs it..
The 5220 XpressMusic is a series 40 phone, so you cannot hard reset it yourself.
Try entering *#7780# to reset it into factory setting. If prompted for your lock code, that will be Nokia's default 12345 unless you've changed it into your own code.
If the problem is still there after reseting, then you should reflash your phone via NSU. But before you do that, backup your phone first if you don't want to loose any important data such as contact number.
And if you find that the problem is still there, then, what I suggest you to do is you need to take it to a Nokia Care Point. Let them do a hard reset for you.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

well, first check your mem. card if it fits the specification e.g. <= 2 gb, good company, etc and having proper music files. if there are music files in phone memory, check their folder and put them in music files. this should work
if not, check a nearby centre

SOURCE: not enough memory display when
try first deleting or erasing some of your stored messages, example sent items or inbox old items.
you can also try erasing received file or moving them to the mmc location.
also you can restore the phone factory settings, by going to settings and select restore or reset factory setting, but before doing that, be sure to BACKUP all your needed data.

Open your internet browser and clear all your histories, cache, stored passwords etc. Also If I you have an external micro sd attached to the phone try to move most pictures and videos to the sd folder. Check the help file and read about memory folders and how to read files in the phone memory and external (sd) memory. If you have any other questions please fell free to ask but do allow some time for me to get back to you. Good luck.
