it is also a common problem that the IE 7 Wont run on computer which do not have a valid windows Xp

This was a brand new machine so that does not apply to me. I was having trouble after the SP3 update and all manner of things started going wrong so naturally i tried to fix them with online help. All conflicting i think but i tried them anyway. I think my problem might be the settings in services.msc...i got really fed up and enabled all of them, i think that was wrong so what i need, is to find a list of what should be Disabled/Automatic and Manual, then correct them and see if that works.

Try this:

  • Open Control Panel -> Internet Options
  • Under the advanced tab, click the Reset button under Reset Internet Explorer Settings
  • This should clear any programs preventing IE from starting

I have HP vectra corporate pc and I have installed IE7. After installation I cannot get desktop screen (means start menu). IE7 creates Internet explorer error and for that reason I am unable to use my pc....

F8 is the key that you should push to enter safe mode, but you have to know the administrator password.
I can give you another hint.
When you enter Windows normaly, wait for IE error and after that try CTRL+Shift+Esc key combination. Task manager will pop-up. Choose File->New Task(Run) and type control or control appwiz.cpl. This should open Control Panel or Add/Remove programs and that way you can uninstall IE7.
Other option is to choose File->New Task(Run) and type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe in Task Manager to directly try to uninstall IE7.

Good Luck!

Installed IE8 and I hate it, want to go and reinstall IE7

Try uninstalling IE8 and it should put IE7 back in. Failing that uninstall 8 then 7 then update to 7. Of course if they want you to use 8 then they probably took 7 off the udate page. Then you could backup hard drive, re-install windows, put in the service packs and get back to IE7. Option 3: learn to live with 8.

Cant always sign in or access email even when i manage to sign. Sometimes no page at all though it says signed in and sometimes get http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/sbox?rru=hotmail which tell me This...

What happens when you try to log in using a different browser? Try with Firefox or Opera. If you can get in, it's a problem with IE7.

I'm thinking IE7 may have some settings that have been improperly applied. I would try cleaning out temp files and your trusted sites list. Change security settings to Medium. Restart IE7.

I need to get instructions as to ho2w to uninstall Exporer and reinstall to try to correct a reliability issue

To avoid possible headaches from interference, I suggest you uninstall in Safe Mode:
Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5.

Uninstall IE7
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Add or Remove Programs. 3. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If for some reason Windows Internet Explorer 7 does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs you should:
1. Open Windows Explorer 2. Click Tools | Folder Options 3. Click the View tab 4. Make sure the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders is on  5. Click OK 6. Click Start, and then click Run 7. Type: %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe into the text box and click Enter
If you find yourself still needing help uninstalling Internet Explorer 7, check out the IE7 release notes found on the Microsoft MSDN Web site.

Installing windows explorer 8

Explorer 8 is only a Beta version and not as yet fully tested, you can uninstall it and it will revert to IE7, if you can't install it then leave IE7 on

The problem: C:\DOCUME~1\GDMCDA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER490dir00\mini070808-02.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\GDMCDA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER490dir00\sysdate.xml I believe microsoft Internet Explorer does not work wee with AOL...

the firs hing to do here is goto your Temp folder and delete all files then if you are using ie6 then upgrade to ie7 as AOL is more happy with IE7 run AOL to log in to their server thn minimize AOL explorer then run internet explorer this should bupass their security measures that block you brouwse other sites.

happy webbing.
