Hi Rhen, I did some research and found this on "As far as problems you will encounter, Pro Tools used to have a problem where it wouldn't work at all on AMD systems without disabling DEP In Windows. Supposedly, the problem was related to the ILok drivers, and so with these drivers you should be fine with Pro Tools and AMD." I hope this helps.

Can you tell me why when i put CPU in my computer he give error? CPU is AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4GHz socket 754.My motherboard is socket 754 Gigabyte GA-K8NE-RH. Problem is my computer or CPU?I take CPU...

The motherboard will support this CPU, with the F1 bios.
I can only advise, that IF your motherboard was working ok before you put the new CPU in, it must be the new cpu you bought.

If this is the 1st CPU you have tried, there is a chance the board is damaged

The CPU itself does not support communication with virtual addresses. the processor wasnt designed to do it. almost everything from 2009 on has the capability minus sempron and celeron processors.

My AMD 3200+ 400/333 chip has died, what can I replace it with? The motherboard is an Asus A7N8X.

Anything in AMDs Socket A line of processors should work.

The AMD Athlon XP 3200 was one of the best processors that would work in that board. Good luck finding one though.

How to upgrade

Here is the list of compatible processors for your motherboard:

AMD Athlon 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 950, 1.0G, 1.1G, 1.2G, 1.3G, 1.33G, 1.4G (Thunderbird)
AMD Athlon MP 1.0G, 1.2G, 1500+, 1600+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+ (Palomino)
AMD Athlon MP 2000+, 2200+, 2400+, 2600+ (Thoroughbred)
AMD Athlon MP 2800+ (Barton)
AMD Athlon XP 1500+, 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+ (Palomino)
AMD Athlon XP 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+, 2200+, 2400+, 2600+, 2700+, 2800+ (Thoroughbred)
AMD Athlon XP 2500+, 2600+, 2800+, 3000+, 3200+ (Barton)
AMD Athlon XP 2000+, 2200+, 2400+ (Thorton)
AMD Sempron 2200+, 2300+, 2400+, 2500+, 2600+, 2800+ (Thoroughbred)
AMD Sempron 2200+, 2400+, 2500+, 2600+, 2800+ (Thorton)
AMD Sempron 3000+ (Barton)
AMD Duron 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 950 (Spitfire)
AMD Duron 1.0G, 1.1G, 1.2G, 1.3G (Morgan)
AMD Duron 1.4G, 1.6G, 1.8G (Applebred)
You motherboard uses a "Socket A" CPU and therefore has limits to how high you can go.. I would recommend the XP 2200 or 2400+ as a good choice, but you can make your own choice.
