Where can i buy a transmission fluid temperature sensor?

The transmission temperature sensor mounted on the overdrive/torque converter clutch solenoid assembly and provides input to the TCM. When the temperature sensor reports 30 degrees F or colder, there will be no overdrive, and below 50 degrees F, there will be no torque converterclutch. If thetransmission fluid temperature sensor reports an overheating condition (over 260 degrees F) and the transmission is currently in overdrive, the TCM will downshift to third gear. The TCM will also light the LED in the dash-mounted OD off switch until the temperature drops below 230 degrees F. However, the torque converter clutch may still be operational.

I have a 1996 chevy lumina and the temperature gauge keeps moving around unpredictably. The fans wont come on. We checked the fuses and relay switch. Could it be the fan motor, or temperature gauge

The gauge is supposed to move. Between 190 and 210 degrees. About a 1/16 to 1/4 inch movement with the needle. If it goes from middle(200 degrees) to hot(260 degrees) and back. Check the coolant level. Air pocket in the engine. Low fans come on at about 210 degrees. High fans come on at 225 degrees. High fans come on when the A/C is turned on. And it works.

Low Temperature

250 is not low, it is just about to boil over, coolant boils at 260 in a closed system, water boils at 120.Your car should not exceed 200, 220 max. Or just 100 degrees over the outside temp, like 87 degrees out, your car should be running at 187. Until you stop at a light and it idles for a minute, then it will climb.

What is the average oil temperature for a 2005 harley fxdwg My bike runs between 220 degree and 260 degree

Well it depends on the ambient temperature. Your bike sounds like it's in about the correct temp range on the oil temperature. This is why Harley went to using synthetic oil. It has a higher breakdown temperature than petroleum based oil.

Good luck
