Question about Fisher and Paykel Washing Machines
I asked a question yesterday about a 2010 Fisher Paykel washer that will not spin or agitate, but will drain the water. Someone named Robert was offering a solution to the problem when a winter storm hit and the power surged into the computer. I have lost the solution. Could Robert or anyone who can help me, please respond as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
With the power off at the wall, can you turn the bowl by hand easily
Does the bowl stir when filling.
Will the bowl lift and disengage from the spline drive when low water level is reached so agitator can turn freely.
If any of these it could be bowl or spline drive and spigot.

SOURCE: fisher paykel washer
The drain pump is jammed. Switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket. Tilt the machine back so you can look under it. On the right you will see a motor which looks like it is upside down. This is your drain pump. Remove the wiring harness from the pump and turn the pump clockwise while pulling back the little white plastic clip which holds the pump in place. Clean thoroughly and replace pump.

look at the bottom of the control panel on the end caps and back out the two screws then pull the control panel slightly forward and tilt it back then you should see gray wires either going in the body of the washer or to a switch on the left side un plug the harness and put a jumper wire across the connector going to the control panel then try spin

Had the same problem with some other appliances. If you're not afraid to open the washer up, it's likely there's a fuse that has blown. If you can find a source for the EXACT same fuse (specs on the body of the fuse), replace it, or you may wish to risk a house fire by bridging the fuse with a piece of electronics solder.
