I have forgot my password to get into my laptop. laptop hp compaq nc6320 shows: "power on passeword?" I have forgot my password i have access to bios battery I have deconected it but the probleme is always heer!!!! i forgit passwords and i cant enter to my lap setup because it"s need password when i press f2 it"s want password and i forgit it how i can solve this problem how the Hell i have tried every thing

    well black screen blue box in in asking for setup password

    That does nothing except register a wrong guess you get three and then you have to restart

    ahh..and this is on a blue screen? that is unusual...can you restart it and press F8 instead..

    you left it blank..well..then you should be able to simply hit return or enter when you are there..

HP nc6320 BIOS Power on Password
You Have to Remove RTC battery ( Cmos ) battery.
Wait approximately 5 minutes
Replace the RTC battery and reassemble the computer
Connect Ac Power to the computer. Do not reinsert any batteries at this time
Turn On the computer

all the passwords and all the cmos setting have be cleared.

hi all i can say is try f8 this brings you on to the safe mode for entering the windows when there click on admin and this will start your main windows up when your windows has loaded it will be just a basic windows page no other programs will be started go to control pannel and enter your user accounts click the password and delete it then reboot .

I have bad news for you. If the power on password is forgotten, simply pulling the battery does not reset it. You have to bring the LT to an HP repair center for servicing. Please see the below from HP's website

Big problem
to clear cosmos(reset bios) remove rtc battery for a few minutes then replace ;restoring bios to factory set.
battery looks like large digital watch battery.usually located(but not always) underneath keyboard.

Don't know the Power on Password
Is the bios protected by the same password, usually it isnt. If you can get on the bios you can disable that HDD password. Other than that I dont know much about HP's and their set ups, sorry.
