Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

first,go to device manager and see if there's a device like webcam or not
Right click on My Computer, select Properties, click hardware tab, click Device Manager
if there isn't device like webcam, click on Universal Serial Bus controllers
see if there are any '?' sign or triangle-like sign on the device (webcam or one of the USBs)
if there are the sign, right click on the device and select uninstall
restart your computer and the driver will reinstall automatically
if there's any error while uninstalling the device, tell me what's the eror say or the error code

I have asus k53s series and my built in webcam does not appear or shown on devices and printers..but when i use yahoo messanger and skype there's a image view on webcam but it is flip vertically u

Your webcam would be listed under Imaging Devices in the device manager. If it is showing you an image when you use skype or yahoo messenger then it is installed. Go into the webcam software to change the settings on how it is projecting the image.

You have to open the webcam software to activate or start the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it then click on the webcam or camera icon.

Try using ManyCam

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

6. Right-click on the name of the webcam and select Properties.
7. Go to the Driver tab. click on Update Driver. a new window should pop-up.
8. Click 'Browse my computer for driver software'. select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
9. On the next window, it'll give you the current driver. click 'Have Disk'. click Browse. Browse to the desktop and select lastest driver that you've downloaded. it'll be then added to the list of drivers. select the new driver and click Next. Just follow the prompts so that it'll install the new driver.

If still this does not work, try this:
Re-install the camera virtual camera using your ASUS hardware disc and follow this step.

1.Insert ASUS hardware disc and "open"
2.Click "explorer"
3.Click "software"
4.Click "camera", then choose and click chicony folder
5.Open the folder APPLICATION/installer, and re-install the ASUS virtual camera.

Once you already installed the driver, go to start menu click or type ASUS lifeframe then open it.

My webcam is upside down.It is an asus laptop. How can i rotate the picture

Usually you can get to this settings by going to Start>Control Panel>Scanners and Cameras, finding your webcam, right clicking and going to Properties. The setting should be somewhere in there. If not, look for some form of webcam software that might've come preinstalled on the computer and trying that.

ASUS U50F webcam not working for months. I have looked through tons of forums, I've tried contacting the *nonexistent* support on ASUS' website and they never even helped me. I got this notebook...

Most likely you have another chat program using the camera. Right click on the icons in the systray next to the clock and exit programs. After exiting each program, try the camera again. The last program you exit before the camera is the one causing the problem. Restart the computer and right click on that program and try and set it to not start when the Windows starts.
