What firewall are you using? If it's a built in windows firewall eg in XP, try this link:

! If you use a proxy, remember to start it .

II. Configure Phone:
1.Install GnuBox - http://gnubox.dnsalias.org/gnubox/ ( for the latest version)

How to open outgoing tcp connection...... i'm facing errors in sending sms to mobile while connecting from internet........... the details are as follows Log Out...Could not Connect... Dear User, If you...

Follow these steps:
Start-> Run-> cmd
In the black box type: ipconfig [enter]
You should see some numbers like this:

192.168.*.* IP
255.255.255.0 Sub
192.168.*.* Gateway

Go to an Internet Browser and plug in your Gateway address like this:
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1

Now your username and password will be like:
admin:admin
admin:1234
admin: {no password}
{nouser}:admin
{nouser}:1234
You get the drift.
Once you are in you can manipulate the firewall and port forwarding settings...

I have an unlocked lg viewty and i have t-mobile web access but it wont let me in to any websites it keeps saying error

http://tmobileuspublic.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst

Go to that link. Its a configurator that can send the correct settings to the phone. Just select the manufacturer and model and follow the directions. What is the specific error? Just Error? If its something like http $code$ error then thats a network error, not phone.

If that doesnt work try this manual setup:

Setup Access Point:

  • From the Main menu go to Tools > Settings > Connectivity > Network > Access Points
  • Create New or Edit existing
  • Set the Name to T-Zones
  • Set the Access Point Name to wap.voicestream.com
  • Note: If you signed up for Total Internet, use internet2.voicestream.com or possibly internet3.voicestream.com

Setup Profile:

  • From the Main menu go to Browser > Settings > Profiles
  • Set the Profile Name to T-Zones
  • Set the Homepage to http://wap.myvoicestream.com
  • Set Connection Mode to TCP with Proxy
  • Set the IP Address to 216.155.165.050
  • Set the Proxy to 8080
  • Set Access Point to T-Zones

Unable to conenct to Mobile Browser

Hi there

You cannot connect to your mobile browser because your GPRS or GSM isn't set up. You must call your service provider's customer care and ask them to send you your GPRS or GSM settings, they will then send you your settings via SMS, save this SMS and then the phone should ask you if you would like to change the current proxy, choose "accept" or "yes".

You cannot view or send images because your MMS isn't set up. You must call your service provider's customer care and ask them to send you your MMS settings, they will then send you your settings via SMS, save this SMS and then the phone should ask you if you would like to change the current proxy, choose "accept" or "yes".

Please remember to rate this solution as FixYa if it helps you.

Kind regards

LG KU990 mms & browser settings for tmobile

Just got me a LG KU990 recently and I had to program the MMS Settings manually as well. I have T-Mobile. And this worked for me.

STEP 1) Main Menu (4 Dots on main screen) >Settings > Phone Settings > Connectivity > Access Points

T-Mobile should have automatically sent you a free text message that allows you to install/download some settings if not, from Access Points, go to Options > Add New

Then enter the following information:

Connection Title: WAP Settings_OTA

Bearer:GPRS

Authentication:PAP

Username:(LEAVE BLANK)

Password:(LEAVE BLANK)

APN: epc.tmobile.com

Save it.

STEP 2) Go to Messaging > Settings > Multimedia Message >
Multi Msg Centre > Options > Add New

Title:MMS Settings

MMSC URL:http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

MMS Proxy:216.155.165.50:8080

Connection Mode: TCP with Proxy

Access Point: WAP Settings_OT
(from Step 1)

Save it. And it should work. If not, go the the T-Mobile website. Hope it works out.
