SOURCE: HK206 SPEAKERS WITH USB PLUG
have you plugged anything else in to make sure the usb port is working? does the computer recognize the usb speakers when you plug the usb plug into the computer? do the speakers work on another computer? if you wiggle the usb wires around does it make a sound through the speakers? eliminate these questions so that we can move on to isolating the issue.

SOURCE: I have Harman Kardon HK-206
I realize you frustration in regards to this issue and am not sure what steps you have been walked through. This seems to be a driver conflict (other issues are also possible - sudden hardware failure even though coincidental as it may be). The first step would have been (assuming your still on a windows machine i.e. the Dell 4500) to do a "System Restore" on a date prior to installing any of the iPhone software. Then checked if the speakers had sound.
If not the next step would be to check the hardware by:
If you're running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click the Start button, clickControl Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If you're running Windows XP, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, double-click Computer Management, in the left pan click Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Double-click Sound, video and game controllers to expand that category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, check the information that came with your computer to see if there's supposed to be a sound card installed.
If there's a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card in Device Manager, there might be a problem.
Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.
If there is a problem with the sound device, it will be stated, and you might need to update your driver for the sound card.
You can double left click on the device marked and click the "Drivers" tab and select "Update Driver Button" to see if this will update the driver.
If this was successful, then restart your computer.
For further details on preforming these steps please see:
If these steps did not correct the issue I would need a little more information or you exact sound card.

SOURCE: What is the fuse size
Greetings - You need a Radio Shack 270-1062 3/4 amp slow blow fuse or equivalent. Any .75-1 amp fuse of the same size should work fine.
Regards and Good Luck.
Thanks for using Fix Ya.
