if your amplifier has the internal Kicker card dealie "little computer card on the side that you can change out crossover settings and such," Turn off the vehicle, remove this device and make sure the contacts on the card are clean and free from black soot (showing a spark). clean the contacts with a pencil eraser or something hard but soft... and put the little card back in place, start the car again and see if that helps, I used to lose one speaker every once in a while with the same amp. I ended up replacing the module with a different one from my dealer and it worked fine (still does and it's been in my car 6 years). Check that little module. if this doesnt work, while the car is running and the music is "playing" wiggle the card and see if it works sometimes and not others. Likely is the little module.

Protection usually means that there is a short some where. If it is inside the amp or external I couldn't tell you. You could check the fuse to make sure that isn't blown. I had a Memphis amp that blew both fuses and the protection light came on. I swapped out the fuses and worked fine, still works. If you have a multimeter set it to OHMs and check the resistance between the power terminals. It should be very high. If these things don't work then there is most likely something wrong with the amp or your power termination. I wasn't able to find a lot of information on this amp but if it has screw type terminals, did you use terminals. If you just put the wires in the terminals make sure there wasn't loose strands touching. I hope you can get this one.

if you amp is in the PROTECTION MODE its means that there some defective part , like for example the main ICs or TRANSISTORS output might be defective , and thats why its on the PROTECTION MODE , needs to be taken to a expert technician for repair.

Remove amp from vehicle, connect Directly to Battery, then short REM line to Ground, see if amp comes out of "protect" If it does, you have either a short or a bad connection on your power wires between amp and battery, If testing amp directly to battery and it doesnt come out of protect, it meens you fried the amp and likely your problem is wiring between the amp and the speakers, or even the speakers themselves (shorted) .. If you Drive your speakers hard enough they can overheat and short out after a short blast... anywhere from 10seconds to 45 mins.. depends on many variables.

you will have to call Kicker, and let them know the serial number, and explain the problem to them. cause there is no generic code for that amp. they will have it in the computer at kicker.
