SOURCE: low pressure reading on Pool Heater

I had this problem with ours last year. I replaced the water pressure switch and it began working fine. We later had a symptom that the blower would start but it would not ignite. The ignitor rod was corroded so I took it out and sanded it with some sandpaper---worked fine...until I dropped it trying to reinstall and it broke. Bought a new one and it works fine now.

Today's problem is related to the blower now.... it is always something, isn't it?!?

If this heater is hooked up to automation check the temperature reading on the indoor remote. If it reading over 104 the sensor is bad and the heater will not fire thinking that it is at set temp.

Jandy pool heater wont stay on the blower kicks on the ignitor glows it lights and then 4 seconds later goes out and i get ignition fault code. please help me out

most likely problem is incorrect gas pressure or a clog in the gas line. If this is a propane heater (you did not specify) then the owners manual is wrong on the gas pressure, you should call the manufacture to get the correct settings for propane.

Either way you need an experienced gas person to come set the gas properly.

Also I had serious problems until I had the gas company install a regulator right next to the heater (so the entire under ground gas line was high pressure). I use to have a regulator next to my house so low pressure fed all the way from my house to the heater (200ft) and this caused serious problems like this.

I also had a regulator break on me one year. It basically stopped putting out the right pressure.

Lastly the flame sensor could simply be bad. If you are still having this problem I can explain how to remove and test the flame sensor. It is easy to test and easy to replace.

Service light and ags light comes on after a minute or two

I had this problem. Jandy ended up replacing the burner from day 1 with the heater (LT400 propane). It was a manufacturing defect. Of course it took 5 trips from the "warranty" company to not fix it before they finally punted to Jandy. Then, there's only one Jandy service rep from VA to ME (I'm in PA).

Power light blinks after blower turns on. Water is barely coming out luke warm after 30m of running. No other status lights lit.

The water is mixed with cool water as it leaves the heater and will only be eight to ten degres hotter than when it goes into the heater so as to avoide scalding. You need to ck the total heat rise of the water after about an hour in a spa and after about three or four hours in a pool.

Laars Lt heater will not start- pressure switch light

it is time to check your filter make sure is not dirty and if your filter is clean and still doing this then the problem can be with one of the safety sensors they do have 2 hight limit switch located in the heater heather they re round with two wires on each one turn power off to heater and get a voltemer reader and check the hight limits for continuty they should read zero on your metter it can be your temp sensor heaters are so complicated that it is always good to have a pool tech service it I was a pool tech in california but now I am located in georgia

Teledyne Pool Heater

I am having the same issue. The heater will go through a cycle of where first a blower starts, then the heater ignites, runs for about 10 seconds, and then stops. Then it does the whole cycle again. It will do this over and over.

I have read the problem is that the ignition detection switch may not be working. they suggested using some emory paper to clean it off, and then try again.
