Question about Lite On NA115 Motherboard

2 Answers

Liteon na115 I bought this mb from ebay, but got no manual for it. I'm kinda new to building systems, so I'm not sure how to hook up the power switch. Nothing's labelled, and I don't want to fry anything. Can you help?

Hello vbrad511, We searched everywhere, and could not find any manual. You will also need drivers for the chipset. The best we could do is this link which you can email Lite-On and get the information or links emailed to you. Sorry that we were not more helpful. Please let us know how it goes for you. Best regards, nightdiver

First Time Build

Be careful to note whether you have the power switch connector plugged into the correct place. Sometimes with the two rows of multiple pin connectors it is difficult to tell if you have plugged it into the right place.

make sure you have the main 20pin power connector AND the 4 pin standby connector both plugged into the mb. The 4 pin receptacle on the board is sometimes hard to see because it is close to the CPU.

Unplug all the case connectors going to the mobo and try this. Take a small metal object like a small screwdriver and short out the two "power" pins on the mobo. The motherboard should power up. If it does, try plugging the case wires in again, being careful to plug them in across exactly the pins you used to turn it on by shorting it. If it still doesn't work, it is probably a faulty power switch on the case

Post the type and model # of your motherboard. I don't think there is any generic way to hook them up. You will need to find it in the manual. Have never seen a MB manual that does not show the pin placements.

Manual here is the manual that you needs i found it on the website it says for the front panel switches attach the power led, empi, speakers, power and reset switch connectors to corresponding pins. If you enable suspend mode item in bios setup the acpi and power led will keep flashing while the system is in suspend mode locate the power switch cable from your atx housing. It is a 2 pin female connector from the housing front panel.
