SOURCE: my McCullough chainsaw series 3200 is leaking oil,

Operator Manuals for McCulloch are difficult to find and will not help with this problem unless you want a repair facility. You can try here:
Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it!

You provided no model number; this one was given in a 3200 fuel problem I answered earlier. An IPL for the model you provided follows (this is actually a 3214, I have never found a 3200):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/MCC/11-600032-32-Mac-3214-06%2F93-IPL-211229/139.11-600032-32-Mac-3214-06%2F93-IPL-211229.1.59.1.html
It is the only 600032-32 here:
McCulloch IPLs (all)
The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for the oil system is sketchy at best. Oiler components and part numbers are listed but may be on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly:
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/McCulloch/139.59.html
There is a less detailed print here:
Chainsaws 32cc-35cc

On this block of saws the oil pump is under the flywheel and there are many hoses. Please use the IPL to identify and locate oiler parts. I hope you find a burst hose. There are oil pump repair kits listed. Unless the pump has an obvious crack or hole I would not attempt to change it until I had exhausted all other possibilities.

This works for older MCs but MTD (this one) saws often deviate from the explanation. It will give you a little guidance if you try to locate a different IPL.
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3558917-mcculloch_chain_saw_ipl_illustrated_par

I know it is not plugged but this may also be helpful.
Oil System Plugged:

  1. Remove the clutch cover, bar, and chain, clean the bar groove, any holes and passages on the rear of the bar (both sides, consider rotating the bar), if equipped with a sprocket nose ensure it rotates easily at least one complete revolution. Clean the saw oiler hole and channel. Insert a blunted, hooked piece of wire through the oil filler hole and pull the hose in the oil tank out. Pay attention to the screen or filter on the free end (clean or replace, difficult to determine serviceability). Start the saw and see if it oils when revved up (oozes down side of saw). If yes reassemble your saw. If no, continue with 2.
  2. Work your way through the linkage (use IPL to identify components and locations) cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at bends and connections. If equipped with an oil pump it is usually behind the clutch (clutch is a left handed thread). Please make extensive notes & some digital pictures will help during reassembly.
If it does not oil on completion of 1 it is most likely a bad oiler or worm gear (see IPL).

These are very difficult to work on, most saw shops will not attempt a repair. I hope the chainsaw Gods smile on your undertaking. Good Luck. If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa HTH

Try your friendly neighborhood chainsaw seller/mechanic. Take a piece of the old hose with you.

Oil level in motor of 3200 mcculloch chainsaw

This a 2 cycle engine where fuel oil is mixed with the gasoline. The mix is 40:1. If you attempt to run straight gas in this engine you will destroy it as would using regular oil.

The oil tank on this saw is for the lubing the chain and needs topping off every so often as you use the saw so that the chain stays oiled.

With the original McCulloch manufacture being out business parts are very hard to come if you can even find them.

I need to know which oil type goes into the oil chamber for the chain on a mac 3200 gas chainsaw, not the mixture...thanks

There really is no exact type of oil that goes into the chain and bar oiler. Each manufacturer usually makes their own, but any chain and bar oil will work. It is a thicker type of oil unlike a motor oil. Just ensure that the bottle says "bar and chain" oil

Need a manual for McCulloch mac 3200 chainsaw

MS1432 seems to be a good match for the mac 3200 (at least the Mac 3200 I just aquired from Pawn Xchange is identical to the MS1432 that was swiped from me last year by an *EX* friend) - PDF here:http://lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/mcculloch/ms1432.html?idRes=5629277

(Yeah, I know, this is an old question but, it may help the nest person needing a manual)
