How do you get the rear-access door open to clear a paper jam? The model I have is a KODAK ESP5210

Remove and inspect the paper tray.
CAUTION: Do not place the printer on its top or right side when you remove the paper tray. Ink could possibly leak into the printer and cause damage.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. From the back of the printer, disconnect:
    • power cord
    • USB cable (if used)
  3. Turn the printer on its left side.
  4. Open the paper tray.
  5. From the bottom of the printer, do the following depending on your printer model:
  6. joed911_7.jpg
  1. Check the paper tray for the following:
    • surface scratches
    • bends
    • ink contamination
    • broken parts
  2. If the paper tray is broken, contact Kodak to order a replacement, otherwise do the following:
  3. Install the parts that were removed in Step 5.
  4. Place the printer upright.
  5. Connect:
    • power cord
    • USB cable (if used)
  6. Turn on the printer.
  7. Make a print to check the functionality of the paper tray.

Printer not catching paper

You may have to clean the pick up rollers with alcohol or put a new roller in your printer.

If you have a printer with a tray, make sure it is set correctly for the paper you have installed.

It will try to grab the paper a number of times and will usually give you a paper jam error after a number of tries.

Laser printer shows light in error led ,no printing what is the reason

Error means the printer can see a paper in the paper tray side, it thinks there is a paper in the exit side, or there is paper near the toner cartidge. tr removing and reinstalling the cartridge. Look for paper, check the printer cartridge is properly installed and the paper tray is in the right place and loaded right. The owner's manual shows how to clear paper jams.
After this, you need the help of a printer repair shop.

The printer keeps saying paper jam. I am using 65 pound paper and I changed the setting to card stock. Is there a trick to loading the paper?

Hello,
I believe that if the printer is having problems picking the paper up it could be due to the pick up roller not having enough strength to pick up such a heavy paper. What you can do is make sure that the printer has the latest firmware installed as well as that the paper is properly placed and adjusted in the tray.
