Try keeping the phone in a dry warm place for a number of days even weeks and then see what happens.

this problem is due to a defective headset socket, just insert and pull out your headset jack many times, your problem will be solved, else it need to be opened and serviced for water seepage.

When someone calls my i phone I cannot hear them through the reciever. I can only hear them if I turn on the speaker phone. What should I do to reolve this problem?

ore than likely there is some dirt or even a little bit of water in the jack, which is what happen to me when i spill my drink on my precious, but nonetheless that's a simple if it was only a little bit. all you need to do is go to a local store and pick up a can of compressed air a spray a bit in the jack and try it out, it should work if it goes out again repeat i had to do this a couple of times but it works.

IPhone Smartphone: dropped my iphone into water, it was still on then...

Do a hard reset (menu and power button together for 5sec). If that doesn't work your should take it to the apple store. If they won't help you, keep the iPHone in a warm spot near a radiator for up to a week. You can try to open the iPhone yourself to let the water evaporate faster and clean corrosion. There is an iPhone 4G Repair service that can dot it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPhone 4G repair guide that teaches you how to open the phone yourself.

IPhone 3GS: suddenly music only on the left

hi. i can help you. begin by cleaning out the little hole your ear buds plug into. Carefully clean the jack hole with a needle or a tough pick. It allowed me to remove a lot of cotton like dust. if that doesnt solve it go into your phone menu under audio settings and see if you have adjusted the balance to cause your problem.
also, You can try removing any debris that might be in the headphone jack by plugging and unplugging the headphones a few times.
If the issue is not caused by debris in the headphone jack, request repair/replacement of the Apple Earphones with Mic online here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

You can also request service by making a reservation with a Genius here: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/or call AppleCare U.S. iPhone technical support at: 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466)

My home button on my IPhone is not working. Last night i dropped it in water and quickly retrieved it. i dried it off with a blow-dryer and now the only thing that doesn't work is the home button.

If your device gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.

1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON
2. Pull out the battery.
3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture.
4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight.
5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours.
6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.

Iphone wont turn on!!!

Hi slondon83,

I believe you will have to reflash your device, using the restore feature on iTunes and the CFU mode in you iPhone.

To restore your iPhone, you will have to enter to CFU mode:

1. turn off your phone, or wait it get turned off by itself.
2. press and hold the power button for exactly 3 seconds.
3. whithout leaving the power button, press the HOME button for another 10 seconds exactly.
4. after 10 seconds leave the power button but still, keep the HOME button pressed.

try all these steps, of course, while you iPhone is connected to your computer with the USB cable and the iTunes software is on.

you might be able to do it with this method too:

good luck!

Voicemail does not work

Had the same problemwith my iPhone 3G this is how I fixed it -

1) From the iPhone 3G, I called my own iPhone 3G number.
2) Went through the setup. After finishing the ssetup Hang off the iPhone 3G.
3) Then the voicemail button on the iPhone 3G worked - first time, there was a **** pause, it asked me to enter my voicemail password that I had set in step 2, and that's it.

Good luck.
