Where is air inlet on bosch dryer

Where is the air inlet on my bosch dryer? I see an opening on one side, but when the dryer is running, air is blowing out from this opening. There is a duct connected to the back of the dryer that goes outside the house.

SOURCE: Bosch Dryer doesn't dry clothes

With the dryer not connect to the external venting turn the dryer on and see if there is air coming out ot the vent from the dryer. Is this flow of air strong or weak?
If weak then there could be a problem inside the dryer some where. Perhaps the fan is not operating properly. Just my thoughts.

You say you have check the beginning and end of the duck vent pipe. How about seeing if it venting duct is clear from one end to the other.

Good luck

If the exhaust vent tubes have never been removed and thoroughly cleaned in years this will cause the sensor to keep the heat off in your dryer. If clean the moister sensor is at fault

Ir 185 starts but runs at full rpm and doesnt produce any air

Read before doing any Work!! I worked on more electrical than engine powered units. However it sounds like the load valve is not supplying the correct amount of air to the inlet valve.I would remove the air filter at the inlet valve. depending on the type of inlet on the unit it may be air to open or air to close. there should be a line (probably 1/4 plastic) running to the inlet valve. With the unit running if it's air to close and you have the line off the valve will probably open. If the inlet opens be prepared to shut the unit down ASAP before you lift a safety. It May not fully open but enough to make some air.if this happens fell the end of the line removed. you should fell some air coming out of it. If so replace the load valve. It will be the valve the line runs back to. I should have gotten you to check the inlet valve to make sure it moves freely by hand before starting the unit.then do the above. If it's air the open you can test by using an air tank and observing the inlet valve. if it's air to open start tracing back to the point you find air . you will probably find the load valve controlling the air going to the inlet which is again probably bad. Again my expertise is in the electrical side but the above will get you started in the right direction. even though it engine driven the airend is the same as electrical. they just go about the controls differently. please be extra careful while trouble shooting this.

I HAVE A LEAK AT THE WATER-INLET SYSTEM, THE LEAKING OCCURS WHEN THE THE DISHWASHER STARTS. THE VENT HOLES ON THE TOP OF THE INLET SYSTEM WATER SQUIRTS OUT DURNING THE FILING PROCESS.

its just the air-gap on the inlet system, sometimes a slug of debris gets near the air-hole in the side of this gap and redirects the water flow, just easily run a screw driver of the right size down the water tube and then try filling it again and see if this helped

Is it possible to re-configure the rear vent on a Bosch dryer

Most dryers have that option but not on the left side. You will need to cut a hole in the left side dryer housing. Then you will need to dis-assemble the back panel of the dryer and disconnect the vent pipe connection inside the dryer. Then run the moisture vent into the dryer housing from the left side opening and connect it to the venting system inside the dryer. You might not be able to put the opening in the same spot as the right side so you should do a visual inspection inside the dryer before making the opening to verify nothing is in the way.

After sitting idle for several days, dryer makes a noise at beginning of the cycle when drum stops and starts. Noise no longer occurs after second load dries.

Not sure if your problem has been corrected yet, but the biggest most important task that must be addressed constantly with these machines is lint build up. So I would check your lint trap (change it before or after each load), check your heat exchanger/air inlet on the lower right hand corner of your machine, and then your condensation hose - to make sure that this is clear of blockage. Also, your machine should be in a vented, open area where it gets lots of air. Adequate ventilation is another important feature that affects these machines. So basically, I'd give it a little tune-up/clean-up and see how it runs. Hopefully, this has already worked for you. Good Luck!

Water builds up behind heat exchanger

I don't know if there is a cure for this. Bosch never answers my calls or my e-mails, but I have found that by blowing in the hose to disengage the lint collecting there and then sucking out the line will remove nearly all of the build up amd drying will resume.

Bosch axxis WTL lint indicator problem.

I have been struggling with this lint filter problem big-time. After reading the previous user's comment that his mesh holes had become clogged, I took a closer look at my filter and noticed that the tiny holes in the mesh were, indeed, clogged up. In fact, when I initially ran water on the filter it pooled up on the mesh like a solid plate...pretty good sign that air wasn't able to pass through the filter properly.

I used a soft toothbrush and soap to clean the filter, and when I ran water to rinse it off it the water passed right through the mesh. I popped it back in and, voila...That fixed it!!
