I pulled apart the back of my dryer to access the heating element. I noticed I have a break in one of the coils. So, that means I need to buy a new one. The thing I noticed is that only of of the terminals at the bottom of the heating element has a plug on it. There are no additional wires inside the dryer that could have come off so I am a little confused as to if i new coil will work.
I watched a video online and it clear shows both terminals being connected. Anyone have any advice?

SOURCE: My whirlpool duet dryer is taking 3 cycles to dry????

have you checked your lint trap to make sure that it is clean after every load? Also the lint vent to the outside may be clogged and will not let the dryer vent like it should. This is dangerous. So check and replace if needed.

SOURCE: dryer not drying

look at the vent outside and see if it closing or even has a cover this allows cold air inside the dryer and cause it to take longer to dry

SOURCE: My whirpool dryer (Duet) seems to always take (2)

Your dryer may be pushed too far back , causing the vent hose to kink , behind the dryer . Also , check the outside vent airflow , and check the lint screen holder , for any peeled off lint , which could also be blocking the outside air flow .

SOURCE: I have A whirlpool duet dryer and it is getting

I would check behind the dryer to see if the vent is crushed. Everytime you lean against the dryer there is a chance of crushing the elbo on the back of the dryer restriction air flow. Very common problem.

My Kenmore 6.7 cu ft he2 Super capacity electric dryer is taking twice as long to dry. no error codes

It sounds like a connection problem with one of the heating elements, or perhaps only a clogged input or output hose from the dryer. Either of these could cause the problem...also, a burned out electric element.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

My clothes are leaving the dryer with streaks (maybe 4 or 5 inches long) that appear to be burn marks. Closer inspection of the inside of the drum shows that the back "wall" of the drum is off-center...

I have the same problem and read somewhere to replace the felt belts. We have done this twice and still getting the brown marks. I have found using Goo Gone and/or Dawn dish soap and scrubbing with a brush will take most of the mark out, re-wash and HANG to dry. I'm still looking for a permanent solution to this problem, as much as these dryer cost and you can't dry white clothes???

Whirlpool duet electric dryer taking too long to dry

A1 Pull the dryer out away from the wall. Unhook the vent from the dryer completely. Do not put anything over the dryer exhaust on the back of the dryer. Do a normal load with the vent unhooked. If it dries better or ok like this then the problem is in the dryer venting. Like a blocked vent pipe or a smashed or restricted vent hose.
A2 - If the vent  doesn't make a difference, then check the blower wheel for excessive lint build up, check that there isn't anything stuck to the air intake baffle inside the drum, (i.e. the screen on the back wall of the dryer when looking into the drum). Check the lint filter chute for blockage. Check that the heating element isn't shorted to ground. Check the exhaust temperature of the dryer. A meat or pocket  thermometer can be used for this. It should cycle between 120 degrees and 170 degrees. Check that the drum seals to make sure the are not worn out.

Duet front loader dryer

Check the lint trap and the vent. If the vent is clogged or crushed in anyway then replace it with a new dryer vent.
There reasons why a dryer will not dry clothes:
Clogged Lint Trap
Crushed or clogged vent
Last but not your issue, not getting and heat to the unit due to glow ignitor bad or no gas supply or bad gas valve.
So check what I told you and this should fix the problem right away
