Question about Altec Lansing FX6021 Computer Speakers

Open Question

FX6021 : Can't turn system on (no blue Led)

I can't turn on my system anymore. No blue Led lights up on the wired control. I can hear the hum noise when AC outlet is plugged in, but no sound is heard. It seems it's only a control issue, but I can't find out what's going on. Any help or circuit diagram would be more than welcome, since Altec Lansing didn't answer my mails and don't repair their stuff ... Thanks a lot ! :-)

SOURCE: how to repair atp3 altec lansing

Best bet would be to just strip the wire with a wire stripper or utility knife and twist the bare ends together to fix the connection. A little electrical tape around those wires and you should be almost good as new. Of course you might notice some difference in quality but I'm pretty sure the only way round that would be replacing the cable.

Try it out and let me know how it works out for you. If you know how to solder it might be a good idea to solder the connection as well.

If you are using windows media player check if your player is configured to have an echo. If it is configured remove it. If it is not configured to have an echo and if you are using any soundcard have that sound card check by an expert or by your vendor and let them check it out if it is still under warranty.

SOURCE: Finding replacement Power Supply for Altec Lansing

I did the same! Thanks for suggesting a call to Customer Support (800)258+3288. The guy didn't seem overly pleased to help, but he did promise to send me a new power supply. Also, he said that they don't make the iM7 anymore, but I had already found out that the iM9 uses the same power supply. I, too, will wait and see.

I have a PES electronic ballast with 8 wires (2 red,2 blue, 2 brown, 2 green on side. The original has only 4 wires,2 red & 2 blue. The schematic shows 2 of each to each light connection. Confusin

Sounds like you may have the wrong part, figure you have RED, BLUE & GREEN lights those wires will go to each colored light? Sounds correct? You obviously don't have the Brown which may be a contrast or Dark tint, I've never seen a Brown light before and I've ripped apart a number of old Rear projection TV's. What Kind of TV is it? I know My parents had a Sony that was lacking a contrast control setting but it was a super high dollar set and may have had a fourth lens in it. Pioneer may be another that might have a fourth lens. I've torn apart Magnivox, RCA & Zenith sets and all were the same exact set up. Try it without using the Brown and see what happens, That's my suggestion. I doubt it will hurt anything by not connecting them. Since I don't know the make model or the year it's hard to say if it's even worth messing with it anymore. the cost of HD LED TV's is so cheap now there's really no sense on repairing any older projection TV's. Or for that matter even repairing newer ones is more costly than buying a brand new one.

How to wire Lumax Intensifier 3 without cigar plug

It looks fairly straightforward.
Red and Black go to the Positive and negative, (It's best to have the switch on the negative side).

The Lights themselves look like they come in two groups, the Left and Right, controlled by the Orange and Blue wires respectively. Both can be added together to the Red connection if a switch will be used to turn them on and off (Using the negative side), otherwise, another switch is necessary or the one you have must be used between the positive connection and/or positive leads to controll this positive signal input.

The yellow, (and white if included) are not necessary.
The Green one just brightens the lights, (like the brake light over the flashers, is brighter).

Notes:
- LED lights only work when hooked up with the positive and negative in the correct order. A LED (Light Emmitting Diode) will not light up if hooked up backwards.

- Generally, the positive and negative (red and black) will be connected to the power source all the time, and the signal wires, Blue and Orange will be intermittently hooked up to the positive (red), to switch on the lights using an internal transistor switch, but the same can be achieved if the positive and the signal wires are attached to the positive together, then either the negative or positive attachement to the cars power is switched using the switch you already have..

-Do not connect the lights in series with the other lights; connect all the positives, (and signal wires) to the positive, and the negative wires to the negative source. The fuses will only handle the system they were designed for.

My dreamgear chargepack works but when I but my sliver remote control in it lights up which means that its charging but when I try to charge my blue control the lights wont turn on. how do I make the light...

I have several controlers in several different colors, but "coincidently" several of the blue colored controls have had the LED lights stop working completely. I am begining to think that many blue colored Sixaxis PS3 controlers were made during a version that had problems with the LED lights going out and no longer working, or simply a bad batch of controlers.

Did you try letting it charge for a while, even if the ligfhts won't light up, then press and hold the PS3 button to check and see if it took the charge?

On my blue controlers, they still charge and still work, but none of the LED lights illuminate anymore.

Solution would be to buy a new controler, or ignore the lights not working.

Hunter Old Thyme 22272 Ceiling Fan Internal Wiring

White to white (Nutural) Red to hot wire (usually black) &If you have two hot wires the blue(light wire) would go to the other hot wire. If you only have one hot wire you put the black & blue wire together and connect to the hot wire. You will have to use the pull chains for both if you only have one hot as the fan is an old two speed and they do not make a fan control for the wall for that fan anymore. Also ,you will have to oil the fan after you hang it.Only use the Hunter oil.

Remotes won't program! Installed Viper 5001 on my 2007 Kia Sorento. Triple checked wiring..all is good. Remotes won't program...no power to main unit. Yet, tested main unit and it has power. Any...

There are two constant 12 volt wires at the ignition on this vehicle: blue and green. The red power (with fuses) wires from the Viper should be connected to either of the two. The ignition wire is yellow. The pink wire from the Viper should be connected there. The accessories are orange and white. The pink with white from the Viper should connected to one and the orange from the Viper should be connected to the other. Please note that the Pink with white should be programmed to act as an accessory (off during crank). The starter wire is red and the purple from the Viper should be connected there. Also check for a good ground connection.

For programming:
Press and hold "f" until LED lights solid (approximately 10 seconds), then press and hold remote starter button(circle w/arrow) until LED blinks three times and the amber transmit LED lights up.
Now you have to enter the remote control learn routine: Turn ignition on, within ten seconds press and release control button on antenna then, press and hold control button while pressing the lock button on remote. System will respond (horn/chirp/flashing parking lights) when holding control button and when pressing lock button on remote.

Connect power swithc and led cables to foxconn n15235

Still have your Foxconn manual? Turn to page 19. See figure FP1.

System cases vary when it comes to wire colors. The most common wire colors for positive are, solid blue, light blue, solid red, solid green, light green. Negative wire colors. Each led, IDE-LED, Reset, PWR-LED and PWRBTN should share a negative colored wire. Common is the solid color white but this can vary from case to case.

Good luck!

Broken Sensor Sterling Touch Immobiliser

There are 4 wires going to the touch pad unit which has an LED in it. The unit has 4 pins (or legs) to which the wires must be soldered. As you say, there are two blue wires plus a red and also a black - although as you also correctly observe, only three wires are present (blue, red and black) in the connector at the other end of the loom which plugs into the control module.

The blue simply splits two ways within the loom, and these are earths. The black carries a pulsing voltage to drive the LED, and the red (which should measure a constant 5v on a voltmeter) is an input which senses when a key is touched on the pad.

Use a continuity tester or ohmmeter to establish which of the four pins on the touch unit connects to the CENTRE pin of the touchpad. Solder the RED wire to this pin. (Best to start by putting some heat shrink up the wire as the pins on the touch unit are quite close together and there's not much to stop them touching.)

Again using the continuity tester (or ohmmeter) establish which of the remaining three pins goes to the OUTER ring of the touchpad. To this, solder one of the BLUE wires - it doesn't matter which one. You must however get the wires to the touchpad the correct way around in order for the key to be read.

You're now left with one BLACK and one BLUE wire which drive the LED, and two pins on the unit which have no connections. The LED will only light when you get these the correct way around. You will not do no harm if you connect them the wrong way round - the LED will simply remain unlit.

One you have soldered the BLUE and the BLACK wires in place so the LED is flashing, simply test your work by touching a key on the touchpad. If all is well, the LED will light continuously for a period and it should be possible to start the car.

check for manual reset switches around burner area. These switches will have two wires going to them and a little button in the middle of the switch. You might hear a little click if they were tripped.

Try getting a new AV Option, well actually first startup your PS3, startup your controller, and hit the center PS3 button, because those 2 options are only in the Main PS3 Option, which is accesed and closed through hitting the middle button on your controller. Hope this helped.
