SOURCE: RCA RS2531 display says Overload and won't function

Start by disconnecting the speakers, turn the volume to minimum, and see if the unit still shuts down. You might have a shorted speaker or wire. If the trouble continues, either the amplifier integrated circuit has gone bad, or some other component failure is activating the shutdown. I can't suggest any specific parts you might check because many things can cause the same symptoms. You'll need to have the unit looked at by a commercial servicer.

SOURCE: Receiver Overload error message

Disconnect all speaker wires at the receiver, then turn it on and up. If it stays on, check your speaker wires one by one, then check your speakers one by one. If it still cuts out with nothing attatched, it needs serviced or replaced.

Where is the reset button on Elna6004 6004, overload message keeps appearing

The message means that the motor is drawing too much current. Could be a mechanical bind or the motor itself is worn out.

Hope that helps.

Rca receiver overload message

Power the unit off , Disconnect all the speakers ,power the unit back on and check to see if you get the same message, if so one or all of your speakers could be bad. This message appears when there is too much load on the output IC's,generally causes shutdown. Also try blowing the system out with canned air, And removing anything that prevents the unit from getting enough ventilation.

Pioneer receiver overload

The "Overload" message usually involves the speakers or the speaker wires. Disconnect the speaker wires and make sure that they aren't frayed or damaged. (When you reconnect them, make sure that no loose wire touches the receiver case, speaker or another wire.) Replace any damaged wire. Make sure that none of your speakers have a lower impedance than the receiver can handle. (Most Pioneer systems have a 8 ohm limit.)

If the message persists, turn off the system. Disconnect one speaker at a time and try turning on the receiver and turning up the volume. If the error disappears when one speaker is removed, that speaker may be damaged and needs to be serviced. Do not reconnect the speaker to the receiver until it is fixed.

I hope this helps.

Overload signal

The overload is the same as protect mode. Remove the speaker wires and turn the unit back on. If the message remains, there is a problem internal to the unit in the final stage of the amp.

Please let me know the results of the test above.

Thanks,

Overload message in technics model SA- EX400P-K I have an older Technics system. It has worked great for years but now I get overload whenever I turn it on. Have changed speaker wires but no use. Any...

The overload message is the old version of "protect" mode. This means that a problem has been detected in the output amp section and that section is shutdown to prevent further damage. Your unit uses amp-pacs. One or more are bad. These are marked RSN3305P and cost about $66 each.

Any hdmi channels i turn on cause an overload message on the receiver and it shuts down. How do i fix this

Check the surround setting you may have these HDMI channels set on. Try changing the audio setting to STEREO to see if you still get the OVERLOAD message. If it helps you may have faulty wiring on your surround speakers. This would explain why it was only happening on your HDMI settings.

After checking your wiring and not finding any problems you will have to narrow it down to the source of the problem. Disconnect your center channel and retry the surround mode and see if you get the OVERLOAD.

Once you find the problematic speaker you may need to replace it. Unfortunately it could be possible the speakers are unable to handle the power being provided by the receiver and may be sending feedback to the unit causing it to overload.

Overload on Technics SA DA10

Cracked solder joints due to excessive heat cycling. Do not place in a shelf system. Top MUST be open for 1 ft. or better for proper convective cooling effect. Mine suffered same fate but repaired locally.
