Do you mean to login to your router? (When you open a web browser and type in your router's IP (usually 192.168.1.1) and it asks you for a username and password?) If that's what you want, the default for your router is
Username: admin
Password: admin

Where do i find the security code for the belkin to connect

Contact the owner of the router -- it is that person (or organization) that has configured the router to require a security-key.

Network security key is almost similar to a password. The network administrator set the key.In case you have a personal router logon to 192.168.1.1 on your browser addressbar.Got to Wireless security on the router configuration page.the network key can be edited from there.

How or where do i find my security key info to set up a nother lap top

Check the router IP by typing ipconfig /all in DOS window that comes after typing cmd in RUN. With the default gateway open the router page with user name: admin and password should be admin as well. Then go to the Wireless option and click on the Wirless security option & you will see the WEP Key that will be your Security Key.

How to get the security code for new lap top, if i forgot

If you are missing the encryption key, you can go to another computer on the network that is connected wirelessly and get the key using Wireless Key View http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html

or

If you know the password to the router, you can log onto the router and find the key there under the router's wireless settings.

Find the line stating "gateway 192.168.xxx.yyy"
Start Internet Explorer
Type http://192.168.xxx.yyy
Login to your router
Click the "wireless configuration" button
Set a new security-key or passphrase.

Now, try connecting wirelessly from your laptop, using the new security-key or passphrase.

Internect connecting

If the laptop was connecting wirelessly before and you didn't change the wireless security key on the router during your troubleshooting steps with the ISP then it should just reconnect. If it doesn't reconnect you should probably delete the wireless profile that's saved and try connecting again. When you delete the wireless profile you will have to enter the security key again. Make sure you have this information handy.

If you are uncertain what the wireless security key is use your desktop that is physically connected to the router to log into the router and reset the security key.

To log onto the router you need to know the routers IP Address. You can obtain that information through the following:

START MENU
RUN
Type CMD
Click OK
Type IPCONFIG
Hit Enter
Look for the default gateway. The default gateway is the IP Address of the router. By default the IP is 192.168.1.1.

Type whatever IP Address you discovered into the address bar of your web browser (Internet Explorer for most) and hit enter.

You will be prompted for a login. If you didn't change the default login information to the router it should be a blank username and the word: admin - as the password.

Navigate to the wireless settings and reset the security key.

From your laptop key in the new network key.

Hope this helps.
