You may have an open line in the grid of the tablet and the Quikruler cannot set a point.
Try setting the menu in a different location and check out the grid lines by moving the cursor over the area that won't take a ref point.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Calcomp GTCO Roll upDigitizer

First thing to do is select S01 on your superset menu. The menu located on the lower left hand side of your RUD II. Take your stylus or cursor and select "S" then "0" then "1", this puts the digitizer in the correct settings to work with the drivers. You should hear four (4) sucess beeps when this is done. Take your stylus or puck and move it around on the digitizer. If it is communicating, the pointer on your computer desktop will move.

If this doesn't work, uninstall the GTCO drivers and reinstall them. If this doesn't work then you will have to call GTCO Tech support for help, they may be a problem with the digitizer.

First conform that serial port is selected as NONE on digitizer manager while you running the lectra tablet utilities. If you try this already please check your cable connectivity any one of the line may be missing connection. It may work but you can't able to run lectra tablet utilities.

NEED WIN 7 DRIVER FOR GTCO CalComp Drawing Board III

Drivers for GTCO, GTCOCalcomp or Calcomp digitizers for Windows XP, 7 and 8 can be downloaded from this url:http://www.interworldna.com/GTCO/gtco-drivers.php

If you are trying to use your digitizer with AutoCad these drivers will not work and you will need to buy a driver from VTABLET.com (They provide a 30 day free trial/demo) only works with serial RS232 interface. If your digitizer uses USB then you will need an interface kit for your specific digitizer to convert it to RS232. Most new digitizers come with USB, some have serial but require you to buy an interface kit. Contact your Digitizer supplier.

If your digitizer is a GTCO, GTCOCalcomp, Calcomp or Summagraphics brand, try these guys: http://www.interworldna.com
They do not know about any other brands. Wacom contact Wacom, Numonics contact Numonics. If you have Mutoh or Science Accessories or any other brand you are on your own as those manufacturers have all gone out of business as far as I know.

Troubleshooting GTCO Digitizer Products

GTCO put in an automatic diagnostic of four beeps on power-up, with a transducer attached, called Success Tones to tell people that the Digitizer is good.

Does the drawing board III use WinTab for arcGIS 10?

ALL ESRI ARC Programs as far as I am aware use the Standard GTCO Tablet Works drivers. All GTCOCalcomp digitizers are or were level 1 supported by ESRI and the standard tabletworks driver will work just fine (This only applies to Windows versions of ARC, not Unix or other OS's)
Drivers can be obtained from GTCOCalcomp or from this link at the Interworld Site: http://www.interworldna.com/GTCO/gtco-drivers.php

If your digitizer has a serial interface use the SuperSet code 01 or 11. If you digitizer uses USB then no superset is active or needed (This only applies to GTCO or GTCOCalcomp Digitizers)

Calcomp or Summagraphics digitizers will need to be set to 9600,8,N,1 with High Resolution Biinary output to work with Tablet works. Hope this helps you

Go to the search on your computer and find your tabletworks. Open tablet works and go to mapping. Click pick. Locate your mouse pad on the digitzer pad. Click Apply. This worked for me.

Autocad 2008 et Drawing Board III (is there compatibility?)

If you are using the drivers supplied by GTCO, they won't work with Autocad 2008.
They are not a fully compliant Wintab driver. Check with the Autocad software to be sure of what kind of tablet driver it needs.
There is a site called www.vtablet.com that sells a tablet driver that is fully Wintab compliant.
