Static on tv when turned on

I turned on my 55" sanyo this morning and switched the home theater setting to my ps3, after a few seconds I seen a static screen and static noise for about 10 seconds, then my ps3 resumed normal operation. also seldom when changing channels or when watching tv there will be a flash of static across the screen accompanied by medium level pop. My tv is connect to 3 hdmi outlet home theater and all hdmi wires are brand new. This is my first 55" tv and this is the only problem i have out of it. is this a cause of the hdmi technology and the use of a home theater system, should i be concerned as it only happens sledom (like once a week or so). any help on this will be greatly appreciated

SOURCE: Unable to use PS3 on HD channel

1. Connect PS3 to your TV
2. Select the Correct HDMI input on your TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform setup.

These are the steps to setup the video output for the PS3, It is possible that it is set to a resolution that your TV does not support.

If this doesn't work, you may want to contact Sanyo to ask if they have some protection circuit for the HDMI input. Some manufactures TV's will deactivate(turn OFF) the HDMI input under certain conditions. Unplugging the TV or some other procedure usually turns it back ON.

Most likely you will need to get a diagnoses performed on the set. Your problem could be with either the main board or power supply board. The million dollar question is do you repair or replace? With parts and labor to repair this set, you could come out cheaper replacing it.

I have a sony home theater system. my cable box volume is all the way up but still with watching TV the volume is so low, eventhough the volume on the sony system is set to "MAX". also i get a...

First, TURN THE VOLUME DOWN. We don't test with max volume any more than we start our cars with the accelerator floored.

How is the audio from your TV getting to the HTS? Name names and be specific.

Your TV audio output may be dependent on its volume control. Many TV's have a FIXED setting in their setup so you can lower or turn their speakers off while letting REAL electronics and speakers handle the sound duty.

OR, you could (and should) bypass the TV entirely as an audio source and go to the cable box's audio output.

When one thinks of quality home theater projectors, few brands cometo mind. Sony, JVC and Panasonic are some that do. Sanyo, on the otherhand, may not be on one's short list. However, they've been makinghigh-quality, affordable home theater projectors for years. Theirlatest offering, the PLV-Z3000 reviewed here, is no exception.Retailing for $2,999 - though depending on where you shop, that figuremay be much lower - the PLV-Z3000 is among the most affordablefull-featured 1080p projectors in the marketplace today. I have no sound

Connect the HDMI cable from your PS3 to your T.V. for video, and connect your optical audio cable to your Home Theater. Hold your finger on the on/off switch of the Playstation for 5 to 10 seconds, you will have flashing blue and green lights while you hold it, then it will turn off (red). Then hold it again for another 5 or 10 secondsto turn it back on, keep holding it until the green and blue lights stop flashing. That resets the Playstation3 defaults. If you have an HDMI cable, you will see a message "HDMI cable detected, do you want to select it?" Say yes. Then you should get a second message about "Ps3 can automatically set optimal settings, yes or no" Again say yes. Now you should have audio and video through your T.V. Now to get the audio through your home theater, go to "system settings" (looks like a suitcase.) select sound settings...the PS3 should have selected HDMI already, change it to digital optical, and then move right to the optical settings, put a check mark in "Dolby Digital", and "PCM 44 mhz", and "48 mhz.." DO NOT...and I repeat DO NOT put a check mark in "DTS digital" If there is one there, uncheck it. That is what is screwing everybody up, that is a movie sound setting usually only found on high end music concert DVDs (like the Eagles) you will get no sound on some games and some regular movie DVDs with this setting selected. Move your screen right once more with your left joystick...click "save" and Voila!! Go start the game.

I have a Sanyo HD Pro Series TV, Model No. PLV 55WHD1, Chassis No. M8L 55WHD100, Serial No. 66403461. This is what happens when I turn the unit on, the power indicator is blinking (green) and continues to blink until the picture appears. Once the picture appears the power (green) light stays on until you turn the unit off. Then the power light turns to (red) and stays lit until the unit completely itself turns off. (This it normal). The problem I am having is that when I turn the unit on and the green power indicator turns on and blinks for about 3 to 4 seconds and then you hear the actual voice of the show or program but get no picture. You only hear the voice (no picture) for about a 1 or 2 seconds before the blinking (green) power indicator turns to a blinking (red) indicator. Now the blinking red indicator continues to blink for about 10 to 12 seconds and then the unit attempts to turn on again, the power indicator again starts blinking green for another 3 to 4 seconds before a repay of before turning back to a blinking (red) power indicator and the shutting off completely. When this happened once before I merely disconnected the power, waited 10 seconds then plug the power source back in then turn the power on and it worked just fine....... But not no more. Please tell me it can it's a quick fix. Thanks for listening to me babble on, Anita Lopez, Corpus Christi, Tx E-mail address. littlebitofmexico@yahoo.com
