My MA-lfqhw-wh worked fine for a while. Now the light and fan don't adjust, and the only way to turn it off is to pull the breaker switch at the at the bottom. I replace it once already. Wo

The switch uses wireless radio to do some things with that model. The problems that you are having could be either interference or the fan and light are using too many amps and burning the unit out.

How to check if you laptop screen has gone out

turn on the laptop, if fan is running and the lights that normally work are working.
shine a bright light on the screen if you see a low lit display the screen is fine.
Its either your Backlight or screen inverter which provides the power to the screen.

Lap top gets too hot and shuts downundefined

Almost every laptop will accumulate a big wad of fuzzballs and lintballs that get packed in front of the internal cooling fins for the processor and chipset. This results in overheating and random shutdowns, as is your problem.
Ease of cleaning this out, without disassembly, depends on the design of the laptop's cooling fans and air ducts. I have kept an 8 yr old Toshiba laptop clean inside and running good by using a shop vac wo work 2 ways. I use the vac's exhaust to blow air INTO the slots where the air typically exit's from the laptop.... and use the suction end of the shop vac on the fan openings of the laptop.
You don't want to blow into the fan openings, as this only forces the debris and fuzzball deeper into the cooling fins.
You want to force air the *opposite* way of the laptop's normal airflow, to dislodge the fuzzball.
After vacuum & blowing, the lintball should end up visible by the fan intake openings. You may have to pop the fan screens out if the lintball is too large to come out any other way.

Packard bell laptop only power light works and fan stays on all the time

This is a motherboard issue, in order to go any further the main board must be evaluated to see if it can be repaired.

Laptop starts but no screen display, cannot reset

If you see nothing at all on the screen but the laptop lights show and fan is working, you have a graphic card problem or the back-light of the screen is not working.

My samsung r519 wont turn on. when i press the on button i here the fan going, yet the screen stay's black and only the power light comes on. what could the problem be?

Does the fan stay running? if it does! it is probably a motherboard issue, if the fan is working correctly it should wind down, and if the hard drive is working "hard drive light will flicker" hook a external monitor to the video output on the back of your laptop if you see windows boots up then it would indicate laptop screen problem, but if the fan and the power light are the only activity then the motherboard is the problem.

My screen is black and none of the lights except the batt light turns on but it sounds like the fan is on

Hi
I think the problem you are encountering has to do with the screen of your laptop.
Since the battery light turns on and the fan is also on then what you need to do is to go to the right computer store and get your screen replaced so your system would work perfectly
THANK YOU.
