SOURCE: My "Service Tire Monitor System"

If all tires are properly inflated you have 1 or more bad tire pressure monitors in your wheels. Will need to hook up to a tire pressure monitor scanner & it will tell you which one is bad. They are connected to the bottom of your valve stem in every wheel.

How to Install Radiant Heat

Over the past twenty years plus, radiant heating has come to be a very acceptable way of heating. I have watched this heating become more and more popular every year. I also have seen many jobs where people do it all wrong and then wonder and get upset because this latest and greatest "state of the art" heating system does not perform properly or save them any money.

Radiant heating is best known for the fact that it is one of the most comfortable heating systems. The next best thing about radiant heating is the efficiency that it provides. Unfortunately there are way too many systems that are installed without efficiency in mind. They really do not peform any better than any other hot water heating system. This deprives the homeowner of one of the most important benefits of a radiant heating system.

The biggest mistake that people make is that they think they can install a radiant heating system for the same amount of money as any other hot water heating system. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If anyone ever tells you that they can do that run as far and as fast away from them as you can! A properly installed radiant heat system will cost you more money! The benefits will offset that, but you must spend the money upfront. Also, just installing a high efficiency boiler does not give you a high efficiency heating system. A great heating system involves much more than just a high efficiency boiler!

To have a radiant heating system that will perform efficiently you have to install radiant heat plates under your tubing, install the radiant tubing in a gypcrete or concrete pour, or install your tubing in a specially prepared sub floor. These methods will allow you to heat your home or building with very low temperature water. Low temperature water is whre you get your high efficiency. If you have to turn up the temperature of the water to get the heat out of the pipes and into the room you are then fighting a losing battle.

So, if you are considering a radiant heating system there really are only three considerations for you. Good quality radiant heat plates that attach to the sub floor with a reflective insulation under them to give the radiant heat the signal to go up. Pouring the radiant tubing into the concrete of a basement floor, or gypcrete (light weight concrete), over the sub floor of upper floors. In either instance make sure that you use a good quality insulation under the floor. Insulation for radiant systems is another topic that I will have to cover in a future article. Thirdly, there are products made that are specifically made to be incorporated into the sub floor that accept the radiant tubing. Grooves are cut into the sub floor and the tubing is inserted into the grooves. Usually these products will have a type of plate and insulation incorporated into the product.

A radiant heating system can be one of the very best types of heat you can have if it is installed correctly! A correctly installed system will give you many years of dependable service with the lowest possible operating cost. It will be nearly maintenance free and trouble free, giving you many years of comfort, with no worry or fuss.

When you are looking to buy a radiant heating system look around for the company that will give you one of these options. Not just be trying to get you to buy on price. If they are cutting price to get you to buy, the chances are that they are also cutting their quality to get to that price. That will never give you the best deal when it comes to a radiant heating system.

Radiant Heating - Why do You Feel Warm? The Best Most Efficient Heating System

What makes you feel warm on a sunny day in the summer? Radiant heating or radiant energy is usually recognized as the oldest form of heating. It provides the best comfort and is the basis for all types of heating systems. Radiant heating is "radiant energy" being emitted from any heat source. Radiant heating is the effect you feel when you can feel the warmth of the sun or a hot stove top element from across the room.

Radiant heat is widely known as the most comfortable and efficient heating method you can find. Some of the advantages of radiant heating are: it is usually more efficient than baseboard heating and almost always more efficient than forced-air heating because no energy is lost through ducts and other transfers. This technology can be used for both heating indoor and outdoor areas. These heating systems work by supplying heat directly to the floor, to panels in the wall or to the ceiling of a house. Because the radiant heating will make you feel warmer when you are in a room, you can have the thermostat at a lower temperature and still feel warm.

The feeling of warmth is the absence of heat being pulled from your body. If the walls, floors, and ceilings around you are warm then they are not pulling heat from your body. Then you feel warm. Your body is not giving up heat to them.

Because of this radiant heating systems can provide massive energy savings of more than 10-30% in most residences, and sometimes up to 60% in shops, hangars and warehouses. Radiant heating provides even warmth with no cold spots within a room. That provides a comfortable environment that cannot be matched by any other type of heating system.

New radiant systems are currently designed to run cooler than they did in the past. The water supplied to the systems will generally range from 90 to 140 degrees. Remember radiant heat can travel in any direction and is unaffected by gravity. Radiant heating systems will allow you to be more comfortable at a lower thermostat setting. Radiant heat will warm the closest and coldest mass, which then radiate heat throughout the space evenly. Radiant heating will give you the most consistent room temperatures from floor to ceiling when you compare it to any other heating system.

I just bought a new monitor and can't get it to work with my laptop-monitor says going to sleep

You should check your owners manual for instructions on how to hook up your laptop to a monitor and do the same with the monitor manual on how to hook it up to a laptop computer. If this does not help, you may need to make a call to technical services for assistance. Hope this helps you with your problem.

I don't what kind of monitor you have or how old it is, but there should be buttons on the front of your monitor.  Refer to owners manual on how to use them.  If you don't have the owners manual let me know, so I can try to find it for you. Good Luck!
