Question about GE 1101P DVD Player

1 Answer

No sound We cannot get the sound to come on the DVD player and have never had this problem, so perhaps we hit something on the remote.

Husband Joe checked all the plugs but no change. We've never had this problem but recently started using the remote, so we thought it might be something with that.

Check scart leads are fully seated into sockets. If they aren't tight then you can get picture with no sound or sound with no picture. You may also want to try a different lead in place.

Hi, I have a Konka TV hooked up to a DVD player, and the decode.they were both running fine until I hit the wrong button on the remote, now I can`t get a picture on the TV at all John

You've probably changed the input port by accident. Look for the "source" button on remote. may be called something else but it's the one that selects which port you want to activate, like..HDMI2 or Skart1 etc....whichever port your DVD player is plugged to, select that one on remote.

RCA TV DVD Combo DVD makes loud grinding noise when playing DVD

does not sound correct. Perhaps the laser is hitting the DVD, or a gear is dirty. Anyway, if you keep playing with a strange noise in the player, it won't take long before it stops complete, or till you destroyed all your DVD's When you don't see scratches on the silver side of the DVD's, you should check (or let a technician check) what can be wrong with the player.

Cyber home LT0150-A remote code

You don't set the player for codes. Its codes are not user changeable.
What you do is set the universal remote for the code in its code list that is for your player.

Universal remote brands (sometimes even models) use different code libraries, so you need to use the code list specific to that universal remote. It should come with one in a boolket, and good universal remote manufacturers provide their code lists online. Ok sir try this site perhaps it will help you just click the link and you will see different procedure on how to unlock your cyberhome. Perhaps it will help you.

I had sound yesterday. left on all night - no sound today

Sounds like you did hit a button on your remote. More than likely it's an audio button on the remote. This button typically selects an audio track on the dvd itself. It's either this or somehow during setup you've selected (depending on the rest of your audio setup) either the bitstream or PCM output for sound. I would just try hitting the audio button until you get something, or go into your dvd setup and try changing from either bitstream or PCM to the other choice.

Coby dvd-224 "loading"

If everything else seems to be functioning, try using your remote to reset the TV. There is a setting to switch the TV from being a TV to being a screen, or monitor, for the DVD player. What the button is labeled varies by manufacturer. It may be: TV/DVD, input, source, display, or something else. Display, for instance, displays the choice on the screen. Highlight and select DVD or perhaps the brand name of the DVD player.
This compliments of the Vancouver Radio Shack super geeks.
