Try and unplug the battery from the actual mp3 player and then plug it back in it might reset the whole system

How to unlock mp3 series 2008

Sansa MP3 music players, made by SanDisk, are capable of playing files stored in the MP3 file format. One of the features on a Sansa MP3 player is that the screen is lockable. This prevents you from accidentally closing out a music file while listening to it. You can unlock your Sansa by pushing a switch.

Turn the Sansa on.

Locate the "Power" switch. It is on the left side of the Sansa and has an icon of a bar going through a circle. Push it down to put it into the "Locked" position.

Push the "Power" switch up to put the Sansa in the "Unlocked" position.

Hope it helped.

Hold the the on/off button up for about 10-20 seconds and it should turn off. then you can just turn it on again. I fit doesn't work, then just wait for the battery to die and charge it back up.

I want to know how to transfer something that I audio tape in my sansa mp3 to the computer

You need to open the sansa's folder in your computer and identify which file is the one you created. At that point simple copy and paste the file into the folder of your choice.
