Question about LG WM2688HWM TROMM SteamWasher

LG Tromm - WM2688HNM - Detergent dispenser full of water & some detergent after wash.

I have the LG Tromm Steam Washer - bought it Oct. 2007 and have enjoyed it. The last 3 months or so after every wash the detergent dispenser is full of water with some detergent in the bottom. What is causing it and how can I fix it? I called customer service in California and they were no help at all.

And yes --- I use only He detergent--usually All He 3x.

i have the same problem, but the dispenser is filled with water and there is a buildup of a white sticky residue. the other problem is that sometimes it is empty when a cycle is complete and sometimes filled with water. so i have an inconsistent problem.

I also called the LG contact line and they suggested a service call and said they were unaware of this type of problem. My dispenser is clean. This was my first thought and so I did that. Then I drained the drain plug, which had some sludge, and cleaned the drain pump filter. The water is clean water and I suspect it may be coming from the numerous little holes above the dispenser at the end of the cycle. What are your thoughts? I miss my old solid top loader Maytags and sure wish I we had not gone with these fancy ones. Do yall have a solution? WArmly, Susie

Even though you want your washer completely leveled, you need it to be leveled but slightly tilting to the back.
We were having this issue after we releveled our washer because of vibrations during the spin cycle. Once we made a slight adjustment, the problem was solved.

Sounds like you have calcium build up, this happens alot with LG's. need to take out the dispenser and clean the calcium with industrial lime away, that only works good for me, but others will do, also use a sharp object, like a ice pick or finishing nail, to scrape off any left over hard residue.
the calcium will clog all the holes in the dispenser.

if this doesn't solve your problem, then there is one thing left
just email me and ill give you the other solution.....

Lg tromm washer leaks from detergent drawer

my washer also was leaking from the dispenser and I had a cap from one of the detergent bottles stuck in the inlet hose. Don't know how it got in there but glad I found it so if your washer leaks from the soap tray it could be a cap from your detergent bottle stuck in there.

Yes the system is cloghed. Pull the detergent drawer out and clean the drawers housing. try using some bleach. It allways helps.

BE ADVICED: after using bleach run quick wash cycle on without any load, it's just to get rid of all bleech remains and not to damage your clothes

Water being left in the dispensers when the washer cycle is done

Water in the fabric softner slot is normal, but for the detergent slot you have to clean out with a tooth brush if you can't get the tray out. If there is water there it is quite a serious block, which is affecting your wash.

LG Tromm Washer

Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.
