Just turn on both the dvd player and your tv set...then set your tv program into AV mode or INPUT mode, and connect the RCA cables from the output of the dvd player into the input socket of the tv system...be sure that the colors or the RCA wires must correspond to the two sockets namely the the OUTPUT adn the INPUT..you can now activate your dvd player!!!

If you can play original CDs then the problem is in neither the TV nor the DVD player , but in your DVD authoring software or your skills to use it (no offense meant).
Overall I seriously doubt the TV make and model is relevant here.
Depending on what exactly are you burning and how are you burning it the DVD player may be important as it may have certain limitations, e.g. codec formats supported or media types supported (e.g. DVD-R vs DVD+R etc.)
Please follow the instructions below for unlocking your Philips HTS3011 1. Switch on the DVD player 2. OPEN the disc tray 3. Key 9 9 9 9 0 using the Philips remote control supplied with the DVD player 4. Press PLAY. The disc tray will close. 5. Switch the player OFF then switch ON again. 6. To test, play a disc from a region which was previously locked.
If it does not work the first time, switch the player off and back on, then try again.
This is a verified unlock method, but I was unable to confirm whether it works for players sold locked to Region 1 (North America). If you have a Region 1 player and the method above does not work, you will not be able to unlock your player. Please note: Unlocking a DVD player may invalidate the warranty. Unlock sequences may not work with some firmware updates and some DVD players have been damaged through failed attempts to unlock them. Unlocking your DVD player is done at your own risk.
Its not about the format, but about region. For example discs bought in the US(region 1) cannot be played in players bought in UK(region 2). To ensure that this does not happen please buy only discs of your region or region 4(all regions).
when the screen becomes snowy, it means that something in the cable box is being overheated. what you should do is take a small desk fan and hold it beside the cable box. this has happened many times when my family has played on their xbox 360, and the desk fan solved this problem. i hope that this helps!
When connecting the dvd player using component cables and audio cables, go to the progressive scan setting on the dvd player and select it. Once I activated the progressive scan, the problem was solved.
if dvd is a hdmi..and your using RGB cables..swap them around..it sounds like you have the cables misplaced..if that doesn't work..then swap out the dvd player and see if the replacement dvd player does the same thing
Hi, try switching your tv to channel 3 or 4 and see if that works- there should be a switch on the back of your DVD player beside the Coaxial Cable outputs-it will allow you to use Channel 3 or 4 as the default to play dvd's. I hope that helps-if more detail or wiring diagram is needed-please leave make and model numbers and i'll try to help.
Cheers and have a Happy Holiday Season!
