Question about Car Audio & Video
Ok so this item has been in storage for a long time, and I just recently found it. My friend wanted it, but we had to hook individual wire clips to the pins out of the back of the stereo because the harness is gone. Unfortunately, the wiring diagram lists 14 wire connections, and there are 16 pins. Is anyone that owns this product able to shine some light on which (1 being top left when looking at pins, 16 being bottom right) pins go to which wires? Thanks in advance for any info. you can provide.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If it's in protect mode, it probably has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible problems, read through the following page:

Look into competition lines of different manufacturers.... Massive Audio DMX, Soundstream, Atomic APX, Incriminator Audio Death Penalty Series, Kicker Solo X etc. In car audio, you have to pay to play. Dont expect a 100.00 subwoofer to take 2000W continuously.
Massive Audio offers a no questions asked warranty. Even covers blown voicecoils!

Rob, I had the exact same problem, I kept searching on line and came upon Alex in Australia, he deals in Nakamichi products, and has the part (plug/wiring harness). He charges $55 for the part and $30 for express shipping.
Here's his email: email@example.com
I have also found a site with the Manual: http://www.nakremotes.com/default.htm
Click on "Model List" and look for your model, in the manual there's the wire color code for the pinout. I also have the pinout by wire color, no room to include, will send in another response.
[ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ] Looking @ pins in socket
[ 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 ] Naka CD45-Z deck
Note: The above diagram is done from the perspective of looking directly on to the connector pins. If you are having trouble figuring out which way is which, just use the ground wire, which is always black, as a reference for making sure you are doing the pins correctly.
