Gearbox nutral I it possible to put my 2007 Mercedes C 230 2.5 with automatic gear box into neutral and take out the key and be able to push or tow the car ?

A vehicle with an automatic gear box cannot be towed without severe damage to the gear box, because there is no oil flow in the gear box unless the engine is driving it.
Look for a replacement gearbox.

Hi,dont try to toe the car you need to put it on a trailer as toeing can damage the gearbox,hope this was some help.

P=park gear position (no gear selected)
R=reverse gear position
N=neutral gear position (no gear selected)
D=top gear
2=fixed highest gear (used for speed when climbing an average incline and to control speed on decent)
1=fixed lowest gear (used for climbing steep incline or descending slowly)
Note-: Never engage Reverse gear when traveling forwards and never put into Park when moving forward or backwards, also towing most autos should be done no more than 10mph, fast towing can damage the gearbox, also make sure gear is in Neutral when towing.

if it an automatic then no as it could damage the transmition!!!!!, if the prop shaft is removed then yes it can be done with out damage. if a manual then in neutral

your transmission filter may dirty and need replacing,or the main pump may not working properly

The "C" is for comfort mode and the "S" is for sport mode. While in comfort mode the transmission will start off in second gear and switch gears at a lower rpm. In sport mode the transmission will start off in first gear and allow shifts at a higher rpm. The car will always be in one of these modes depending on which one you select.
