Flashing numbers in squares

I have had my Accu Breck for over 3 years without any problems. Just the last 4 days the number in the squares started to flash. Also when the right bottom button is pressed after the chrono count is stopped, only the second hand (the long one) resets itself to 12 o'clock position, but not the minute or the hour hands. Can you help, does it need a new battery?

Re: Flashing numbers in squares

Flashing Squares means battery going dead - time to replace. May take up to 3 months to stop.

Re: Flashing numbers in squares

I had the same problem. I took the watch to the jeweler I'd bought it from and he replaced the battery. The problem disappeared. Now if I could just locate the damned manual so I could reset the watch.

Can't set day of the week for armitron MD06117 mens watch

Purchased my Armitron men's digtal watch in 2009. Here's the twist on setting the name of the Day of the Week on my watch. When you get to the name of the Day of the Week flashing.. you don't get Su...Mo...Tu... You get 01..02..03... up through 99. (You think.. what the hell is this??) DON'T TRY TO SET Sun.. Mon.. etc here.. you won't find it. The puzzle solver..and it is.. IS TO SET THE LAST TWO DIGITS OF THE YEAR HERE.. Example... it is now 2010.. so scroll thru the numbers and set it to "10"!! Now.. when you go and set the numerical day date e.g. 3 for March, and set the numerical day - e.g. 15, the on-board computer?? in the watch will AUTOMATICALLY SET THE NAME OF THE WEEK!! It will look-up For Example.. in the year 2010.. 3-14 is SUN.. and will set it as that!! Hope this saves you some frustration. Regards... (Mar 14, 2010)

My watch has 4 buttons (2 on the left, 2 on the right) plus the "Indiglo" button. Use the "Mode" button (lower left) to move between the time and the stopwatch. When seeing the stopwatch, hold the "Mode" button. This will get you to the alarm setting mode. Press the "Mode" button again to switch to the time setting mode. Use the "Start/Stop" button (upper right) to move from seconds > minutes > hour > date > day of week. Use the "Spl/Reset" button (lower right) to change the numbers.
