Most likely, there is a blockage in your exhaust. take it apart and check every inch from your dryer to the outdoors. i clean mine once a year, it keeps the dryer running efficiently. when lint backs up in there, the heat cannot get out and there is a sensor that will shut off the heating element when it gets to a certain temp, so your clothes will take a long time to dry

Check and clean fluff from filters ,make sure it's away from the wall by several inches . if it still over hears the thermostat is at fault.

Our hotpoint ctd40 condenser dryer aquarius trips our household rcd panel when you try to start the machine all the power lights are on and it does not blow the plug fuse. I have cleaned all the filters...

I would get an electrician to check the machine as it appears to have an earth fault on the machine wiring , This type of fault will operate the RCD quicker than the fuse will operate. I am a qualified electrician by trade.

I have a hotpoint aquarius tdc 30 conderser dryer. It gets hot and rotates the clothes, but they aren't drying. what's wrong?

Hi, Well if it is getting hot but not drying the clothes than most likely you have an airflow problem. Take off the vent hose on the back of the dryer. It will be plugged up with lint either inside that vent on the dryer or the hose will be plugged somewhere. If you clean this or just plain replace the old hose this will take care of the problem. Good Luck. feed back is appreciated.

HOTPOINT CTD40 CONDENSING DRYER not drying clothes any more.fault codes is on/off light and time delay lights are flashing after 30 seconds of switching the appliance on.the condenser unit is free of fluff...

Without actually taking meter readings I would suggest that its probably the thermostats that are fitted to the heater unit on the back of the appliance.

Hotpoint Part Number: 1703607

Hope this helps

Check the thermal fuses / sensors mounted on the top exetrior of the heating chamber and also the heating element. Both accessible from the rear of the machine.
