Having an issue with an Allen & Roth ceiling fan. At first it was slow coming on from the wall switch so we used the remote. That worked for a while now nothing works. And it's not the wall switch.

If you're not scared to do electrical wiring, use a well-insulated pair of needle-nose pliers and jump the switch out and see if the fan comes on if it does change the switch

Allen + Roth ceiling fan with remote Model #: LP8242LCH. The light randomly turns on. Not touching remote. Any ideas how to fix it?

Change the frequency in the receiver & transmitter. Also, stay away from store brand fans.

Allen & Roth Eastview ceiling fan. How do I reverse to pull up warm air instead of blowing air down?

Look for a slide switch on the side of the housing beneath the motor. If the manufacturer wired it correctly, the up position will pull up warm air and the down position will blow air down.

Trying to install an Allen & Roth Ceiling Fan Model#LP8062 Help it doesnt seeem like the light open to change a bulb and the blades dont come off Help?

That's just a CHEAP store brand fan. Take it back and go to a real fan store and get a fan with at least a 13 degree blade pitch or at least 5500 CFM's

I have a Allen and Roth double ceiling fan and now the light will not turn off by the pull string, so we can not have the fans on with the light off-- ANY HELP?? Its only a year old ;(

The light switch may have failed. They tend to do that.
You don't say whether your fan has a remote control, but that could be the source of your light problem as well

Something that may work (based on my experience). Shut off power to the fan (the circuit breaker). Remove the battery from the remote and push all the buttons just in case one is stuck. Reinstall the battery. Turn the CB on. Check operation using the remote.

Is it possible that there is another remote, either yours or a neighbor's, close enough to operate it?
I installed a remote operated ceiling fan & it is hard wired, there is no switch. If that happened to me, I'd be stuck never knowing when it will come on.
Can you change the remote code?

Ceiling fan is all wired up and on ceiling but light doesn't come on or fan doesn't spin. I have checked connections and tested for power. Is there a switch or anything on receiver that needs to be...

Jerry, from what you said, I assume you have a remote controlled ceiling fan. If that's the case, check the batteries in the hand held and the receiver, to make sure they are charged. Also, make sure they are installed properly. The Owner's Manual should have a reference to setting or resetting the codes for the remote control (Hand Held & the Receiver). Check those to make sure they are matching. And don't forget, the wall switch must remain ON for the fan to work, even with the remote control. The remote simply overrides the wall switch, when in operation. You may have to use the pull chain to start the fan motor the first time, then the remote can take over from there.

Good luck. I hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
