SOURCE: Washer will not pass wash cycle...Will not Drain

Nightshade, in most cases, no spin, no drain is a lid switch problem. If you advance the timer to the spin position does it spin? If the machine is agitating you can rule out the coupler. If you are sure that it is not a lid switch problem, then you are probably looking at a bad timer....Catriver..post back.

That OE is really DE (drain error). Open the access door at the lower left on the front of the washer. Drain remaining water using the small hose. (at least if it is not plugged) Unscrew and remove the large knob. Clean out filter. If filter was clean, you may need a new pump motor, or something may have made it past the filter and is jamming the pump impeller. You can remove the pump without taking the front off the machine. Do an "Ask Me" if you need to do that, and I'll give you further advise.

The washer stops at 39 minutes on a regular wash cycle and the code OE is displayed

This fault code can mean that the pump is faulty as well as blocked, first of all check for a blockage and, if none is found then the likelihood is that the drain pump is faulty. Should you need it, the most common drain pump used on LG washers and washer dryers is this one.
On non-display panel models this fault code is denoted by the lights for 800, 500 and No Spin being lit or flashing.
  • Check pump filter is clear and there are no obstructions
  • Check the drain hose for obstruction
  • Check the drain hose is not kinked
  • Check the drain pump filter and clean if required

What does error code OE mean?

For LG washers, the OE error indicates a problem draining the wash tub. This could be caused by a problem with the drain hose, a clogged filter on the drain pump, or a problem with the pump itself.

First make sure that the drain hose isn't kinked or too high for the pump to force the water up. (Most washers can pump the water 4-6'.) Next grab a bucket and open the washer to reach the pump. (Usually you either need to remove a plate below the door or an access hatch on the back.) Find the pump and open the filter that is on the front. Remove any foreign objects from the filter. (Use the bucket to catch any water that spills.) Look into the pump itself and check for any obvious objects.

Try a new rinse cycle and see if the error persists. If it does, then the pump or the pump motor has an problem. If you add a comment with the model number of your washer, I may be able to find the correct part numbers for the replacements. If your washer is under warranty, contact LG.

I hope this helps.

My Frigidaire Commercial Series FCCW3000FS 27" Coin Operated Front-Load Washer will not agitate or spin clothes out. Please HELP!

You should check your serial number at this link:http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09292.html

There was a voluntary recall issued on your model number. The serial number will confirm if your machine is affected.

As to your problem, i would still suspect drain pump is struggling or inoperable. However if it seems to drain ok and your pump is still relatively quiet except for a nice mellow steady hum (there should be no rattling sound) then i'd take a look at the pressure switch. The pressure switch sends the signal to begin agitation (water level in tub is full) and spin (water in tub is drained.)

My lg washer and dryer wm3431hs isn't draining. I took of the hoses in the back, cleaned the filters and still nothing please help!

Hi

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Hope this helps...

Why won't my kenmore 400 washer spin out?

Sometimes the drain pump goes bad which prevents the water from draining and then spinning. If this isn't a direct drive model then a simply fix to replace the drain pump and belt. Good luck

Lg wm3677hw combo washer drain pump repair question

You replace the whole drain pump. Pretty easy to do from the opening in the bottom by resting the unit on its back. (Make sure you drain the unit completely) You should be able to get the drain pump (pt #4681EA2001D) from http://www.encompassparts.com/lgconsumer/ for less than $50 + s&h.

The washer want drain

Hi, the problem is either your pump or your hoses. this an easy fix. all you need is a screwdriver and a bucket to catch water. 1st unplug the machine and remove the drain hose from the drain. then try to drain the water from the washer by plugging it back in and setting the washer to drain. if no water comes out of your drain hose then you know your plumbing is ok. next put the drain hose back in the drain and take the cabinet of your washer. you will see your pump with 2 hoses connecting to it. one hose connects to the basket and the other to the drain. disconnect the hose coming from the basket and if water comes out then you know the basket is not blocked with any article of clothing. if both check out ok your problem would be the pump. write down the model and serial number to your washer and buy a pump. Thanks! mannu_rakesh

Wont drain have cleaned out pump for coins anything else it could be

You cleaned out the pump, but did you check it out? Take a flashlight and look into the suction port on the pump. Check the impeller for broken or missing blades and see that the impeller rotates freely. If there are broken/missing blades or if the impeller will not rotate freely the pump is defective.
