Daughter tried to remove harden splatters with scrub pad
SOURCE: removed splatter shield
If you can supply the brand and model, we can probably point you to the supplier for the splatter shield (waveguide cover).
The door shouldn't really fog up too much (not permanently anyway) as long as the internal cooling fan and seals are okay.
The door panels can usually be separate for cleaning if it's absolutely necessary, but it's a pain of a job.
Again, brand and model mean everything, so if you can give us those we can probably get more specific. Happy to help.

Replacing the door is a bit of a job and I'd bet that Viking parts will be very pricey. Even though these are made by Sharp, you'd have to order door parts from Viking.
You may be able to buff it out with jeweler's rouge / paste or toothpaste on a cotton cloth or even a microfiber polishing cloth.
I advise my customers to never use Windex (ammonia-based) or anything other than a soft cloth to clean the plastic parts.

SOURCE: Cleaning inside of microwave door
THE DOOR ON MY MAYTAG MICROWAVE OVEN HAS A SCREEN OVER IT. I HAVE SOME FOOD SPATTERS THAT PENETRATED THE SCREEN AND I CAN'T CLEAN THE GLASS THAT THE SCREEN PROTECTS. HOW CAN I REMOVE THIS SCREEN TO CLEAN THE GLASS?

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I
made) that demonstrates how it's done.
You can usually find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number here.
