Have you tried breathing on it before putting it into the machine. Sounds crazy but it works..

My Nintendo 64 is having a problem playing some games. I put a game in and the red light turns on and it will play a game. But another of my games I put in. the red light turns on but the game doesnt...

Simply put, the games are dirty and need to be cleaned. To clean the cartridges you will need some rubbing alcohol and some q-tips. Using the q-tips, dip them into the alcohol and clean the contacts (those are the shiny metallic pins on the circuit board underneath the cartridge) with them. Be sure to get both sides of the board and let it air-dry for an hour or so.

My xbox 360 says play dvd every time I put a game in. Am I doing something wrong? I'm new at this

How old is your Xbox? Have you tried to change your disc drive recently? If not it's most likely your lens is going bad or needs cleaned. Open the tray and use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean it.

The gameboy screen comes on, but the nintendo logo is blurred, and the screen goes blank, without the pokemon opening screen showing up

This is usually solved by blowing in the cartridge and putting it back in firmly (don't slam it). It just means that the contacts on the game aren't all properly touching the pins on the system. You may also find it useful to put rubbing alcohol on a q tip, wringing out the excess moisture, and gently clean the gold parts inside of he game. Then allow it plenty of time (i.e. 3 hours) to dry before playing. Make sure that you put in the game straight and properly when you go to play. If this does not work then you may want to look into either cleaning the pins on the Game Boy, or there may be something wrong with the game itself. Try then to play it in a different Game Boy. I hope this helped.

My ps3 will play dvd in ps1 games but it wont playps3 games

This can be caused by a dirty laser in the drive. Try cleaning the laser with a q-tip and alcohol. If this does not fix the problem, the laser may need to be replaced. Contact Sony and see if the unit is still under warranty.

NES color scheme is wrong

Open up your NES , and take the metal shielding off. Get a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol and clean the inside connections (zero friction connectors). Then clean the contacts inside of the game itself. Put the game in an press it down, use another game to hold the game inside of it all the way down (i dont know if there will be anything to hold it down without the top on....but you should get the idea once you have the top back on.

That should do the trick. The inside connections get dirty after time. I keep rubbing alcohol and and altoids tin hand. To clean the contacts and hold down the game. (the altoids tin let you close the lid so you look less ghetto.)

I have 6 NES's. and they all had similiar problems. They just needed some love and care

if that doesnt work, go to www.benheck.com a very enthusiatic classic videogame board.
