Question about Philips Magnavox 60P9271 60 in. Rear Projection Television
When I press the power button it will stay lit for about 3 seconds then it will flash twice. No picture no sound. If I let it go it will continue to "flash twice" every 3-4 seconds forever. I tried unplugging it to reset but it did'nt help. Any suggestions before I take this thing in? Thank you very much.

had same problem. update tv software with a usb drive. do not take the tv apart. its easy download to computer unzip to usb drive and put drive in right side of tvs usb slot with power off, then turn power on, you should get an update screen.
did not work for me the first time i had to format usb drive to fat (not fat32) and then unziped to the drive took 10 minutes to update. I have tv 60PP9200D/37

Sorry, but there is no simple answer to your problem.
Bottom line, it needs to be repaired by a qualified technician.
The blinking is a code for what circuit area of the set called for the shutdown.
No matter what it is, there is nothing more you can do.
