Question about Zanussi WJS1265W Front Load Washer/Dryer
I've had this machine for over 10 years with no major problem except the panel behind the buttons replaced after 2 years. The last 6 months it has had a mind of its own 2 out of 3 uses with when it will stop in the middle of a programme so I had to start the programme again. Its worst on the wool/hand wash programs. Yesterday it decided to go through a full cycle skipping something in the programme as it had spun and finished but had left the suds and therefore hadn't rinsed. Any ideas?? thanks

E20 = Problems with water drain in wash phase ALARM CODES E20 Is the drain filter clean; Problems during draining phase (Machine tries to drain for 10 min without emptying the tub) Checks to do: E20 Is the drain pump working? Is the value of the pump about 200Ω? (Measure directly the connector by the board, between J2-2 and J2-7) ; If No Change the pump and run again Clean the filter; Is the draining system OK (drain hose and plumbing where machine is connected) Free and check the draining system; Is the pump blocked? Is there any burn mark on the control board; if yes Change the board E90 = Communication error between user interface and main board. Verify the connector between the main board and user interface board by plugging and unplugging the connector few times on both sides, OR replace the blue ribbon cable. The fault could have been caused by oxidized contacts in user interface plugged in the main board. Kind Regards David Marsh

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

This sounds like a drainage problem. First thing is to check the filter behind the flap on front of machine.
Please post back your findings for further assistance.
Thankyou for using Fixya.
