SOURCE: Zanussi washing machine door seal removal

This is quite tricky, first take off the retaining ring on the front door port, remove the seal from this rim. The back of the seal is held by a spring band. the best way to remove it is to get a good grip on the seal at the top then lift and pull (thats the easy bit), to put the new one on i always lubricate the recess on the seal with washing-up liquid and feed the seal on from the bottom with one hand whilst following it around with the other hand to stop it coming off. Once it is fully on it can then be rotated easily into the correct position. Getting the spring back on will require an extra pair of hands for obvious reasons.

Good luck with it and keep the swear box handy lol.

Thank you for using fixya

Error E20 means the machine has failed to pump out. 1st check the filter at the bottom right hand side there may still be water inside if so pull the grey tab to the left of the filter there should be a thin hose extend it put it into a shallow dish and pull the cap off to let the water drain this may be a slow process. When the filters out look into the hole with a torch to see if any obstructions in the pump impeller this looks like a cross. If the filters and pump are clear it may be the pump has failed.

SOURCE: Zanussi washing machine type ZWF 1217W Flashing

This error code seems to be the control board detecting a wrong configuration (in other words, an illogical set of sensing conditions, from its connected sensors and wiring). It apparently can happen, when wires become badly contacting, or if contaminated with motor brush carbon (the horrible black powder that comes off the motor commutator and brushes), or corroded from other contaminants from the soap dispenser area. You should be able to check this, remove, clean and replace the contacts: Take the top off the machine, (ENSURE IT IS UNPLUGGED) and on the right hand side of the machine, you should see a set of 4 blue wires that go from the electronics module to the front display unit. Take this plug off (it is held on by plastic retainers) clean with wd40, or silicone contact cleaner, then dry, replace, then try again. If it is very badly corroded or pitted, you may have to replace that part of the wiring and socket.
If it is not that, then the wiring to/from various other sensors could be damaged, or the control board could be faulty. It is probably worth checking around other plugs and sockets, re-seating each one in turn, that lead to the control board, before calling an engineer in, or getting a spare board, as they are expensive. Pulling off and plugging back on (Re-seating) the plugs and sockets has the effect of cleaning the contacts, and may fix certain intermittent faults like this. Obviously check for any plugs/sockets that appear burnt, corroded, or discoloured compared with the others, and clean the contacts with emery or a needle file.

hope this helps....

How to reset zanussi jetsystem programme function board with error E40

E40 is a door lock fault code, you need to replace the door lock,
you cannot reset the fault code, this happens automatically when the fault is rectified. nice easy job though.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

Door on washing machine is locked with e20 code

This particular code is used when the machine detects a pump problem or water draining problem. In this case, the fault would occurr just before attempting to spin. It turned out to be a blocked filter, accessible from the bottom front of the machine. so the best thing to do is clean the filter on the front of the machine open the flap and undo the filter water will come out so be ready for that. after it is cleaned and filter all back in and secure switch machine back on at plug and run cycle this should fix it. hope this helps.
Here are some error codes for future problems. E10 - not filling
E20 - not draining
E40 - door open
EFO - Filter blocked

Zanussi IZ12 mid program door light comes on.

E40 is a door interlock fault, it is either faulty or the wiring between it and the main board is at fault,
Only way to open door is to remove top cover, and try to force the door open from the inside, if you can see the door latch, try pushing it with a screw driver or something to release it, worst case scenario, is you will have to break the lock to release the door.
Please rate my fixya solution.
Thanks.
