hello my name is rico i work on tvs sometimes. is your blue or red crt broken if is not you dont need to replace it need change the coolant inside the tube. if you need more help with it let me know ta anytime my phone number is 602-810-7149 i live in mesa az
my tv had the same problem and the B+140 was low. When I measured it, it was 89volts unfortunatly led me to the Flyback tra$former. after alot of troubleshooting work, I realized that the primary is short circuited. Also the horizontal output xsitor heats up alot on start up, thankfully it doesn't blow :)
I've had panasonic flybacks do this before to me. I havn't replaced my Flayback yet but when I pony up the $65.00 I expect (and pray) the TV to work fine. There is an off chance that something like the splitter or the foucus block caused this failure, but I doubt it.
screens are quite expensive relative to the tv.. is the screen busted completly or just the top plasitic/ averge part cost are around 250 to 350 for the set of screens... places like union electronics is the place where my shop gets rca parts. not difficult to replace. you need the complete model number like hd52w59yx1. to get the correct replacement
It will depend on the Chassis number you have but it sounds like a bad Deflection module or a bad Convergence power supply module. The Convergence Power supply module is on the left looking from the back mounted above the deflection module. On newer models the picture tubes can short and put these sets into shut down mode ( Three Trys). Start by unplugging the CRT modules off the neck of the tubes one at a time. If it doesn't come on you have eliminated the tubes. There will be a Red and Black set of wires from the deflection module to the convergence power supply module. Unplug it. If it fires up then it's the convergence power supply module. If not it will probably be the deflection module. The flayback transformer is a common problem along with several bad caps towards the front of the board. Let me know if this fixes it.
If you go to this link they have any Picture tube you need for your model and they include instructions on how to remove the old Tube and install the new one. Your model has picture tubes instead of lamps. Leave them an email with your model number and which CRT (picture Tube) youre needing they respond quickly. Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
you need new Convergence ICs which is a fairly simple repair. Post your model number and I will post the STK numbers of the ICs you need as well as a link where you can get replacements that come with free installation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself.
