Well if there is more heating in your heat pump i suggest you uninstall the entire set up and service it once. Its quite possible that it has not been cleaned for quite sometime.

I have Coleman Heat pump and i want it to conect as AC only any ideas since i changed furnace to gas and the guys dont know how to conect it back as AC only.

Change out the thermostat to a straight cool gas furnace stat.If the reversing valve energizes in cool, simply hook the reversing valve low voltage wire to the yellow compressor wire. If it energizes in heat do not hook it up to anything.

I have a 3 ton Coleman heat and air pump and when I turn the air condition on the heat strip comes on at the same time

If you are calling for heat and the thermostat is set for 2 degrees higher than room temp, the heat pump and strips come on.
When the room temp and stat temp are less than 2 degrees the strips turn off.
That is, unless the installer wired the t-stat for the strips to stay on.
If they are coming on in the air/cool mode then you have a bad heat relay or a t-stat wire shorted.

Problem with heat pump

This sounds like a 4--step furnace. Step 1 ,the small ven fan turns on and proves it turnning thru the small air tube that sucks a switch close . Step 2 the spark igniter lights the pilot ...Step 3, the main gas valve opens up and dump gas in the venture tubes to heat the box up, Step 4 theres a swith in the box the when heated closes and turn the fan on! Thank-you-very-much!
