The gears might have been jammed, or the disk tray could have been jammed taking the cd's into the lens. While ejecting the disk tap the outer side of the unit. Tapping should be done very gently without damaging the unit, try several times. If still having problems take it to the qualified service tech for repairs.
I have the same problem with both trays on a Sony RCD-W3 not ejecting. If you push the tray sometimes it opens, but takes a few attempts. the recording CD sometimes doesn't see the disk but ejecting and re-entering it normally gets around that. I have no permanent solution, I'm afraid. Probably needs to be opened up and rails greased/oiled or something like that.
this depends on what make of disc mostly the philips machines only work with their own brand of disc try placing an original disc if thats ok then its the blank cd that you are useing got to be philips brand
Hi I have the CD-Mix 1 unit and my left hand disk tray is doing exactly as you describe, i have dismantled the whole thing and tested out and looked at as much as i can and everything seems okay. It's almost like something isn't quite lining up properly when the disk tray is closed because I have found that pulling down the tray door and using my thump to hit the right hand side of the tray itself eventually gets the disk spinning. The main issue is that when you hit the unit so hard the cd playing in the other tray skips as you would probably expect...But at least this information might at least let you spin up one and then fade/mix with the other afterwards. If you do find out the exact issue, please email me at email@example.com Thanks!
i know its the tray belt.because, the same thing happened to me.my player would sometimes say error. or sometimes it would not read any cds.because, the tray would not close tightly.im shure its an easy fix.i did mine by my self.
hi, check that when the right side tray closes the screen must show up READ or DISC CHECK. the behaviour must be the same as the left side cd deck. if loading is faulty then the cd tray is out of alignment or sensing swithches are faulty. if disc is loading then u have a laser pickup problem or the laser ribbon cable is intermittent or the spindle motor is tired or the laser lens needs accurate cleaning. cheers.
Try cleaning the laser lens with a cleaning disk like you might find a Wal-Mart or Radio Shack and see if that helps. If the lens on the laser is too dirty to read that it has a disk then it will not attempt to spin the disk. If cleaning doesn't solve your problem then it may be a much bigger problem like weak laser etc. Good luck.
