You may need to reinstall your operating system. The files needed to boot may be corrupted.

Blue screen error 0x0000007B

This error indicates you have a device driver issue especially those related to hard drive and other storage controllers, viruses, data corruption, and sometimes even hardware failures. The first thing you need to do is run the built in diagnostics.
1) Turn the computer off.

2) Turn the computer back on.

3) Immediately at the Dell logo screen, starting tapping the <F12> key once a second until the One Time Boot menu appears (if the computer boots to Windows turn the computer off and try again)

4) At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press <Enter> to begin the PSA.

5) At the One Time Boot menu, press the <Down> arrow key to highlight Diagnostics, PSA+ or Enter ePSA, then press <Enter> to begin the PSA.

6) Write down any Error Codes and Validation codes listed.

How do I fix

I see you chose Safe Mode.

Blue Screen Of Death

  • Unplug PC. Opening case. Remove all RAM. Use static precautions! Insert one DIMM and test. Does it load OK? Test one DIMM at time. One slot at a time. To eliminate possible bad RAM.
  • Re-install Windows. Clean install works best. All data will be lost.
  • Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Alienware aurora r3 diagnostic lock

Sounds like a complete new install of windows is in order. Sounds like you may have had a very bad virus that has messed everything up. But very well could have been something else things like this are not always the result of a virus

Hp pavilion slimline s3600t desktop pc - Wont boot up, flashes to blue screen after hp blue screen and restarts. no option for safe mode either

A Blue Screen is more time than not indicative of a driver issue or some hardware issue. First of all when it boots to the screen that shows Safe Mode and the other options, scroll down and see if there is an option to Stop or Disable Automatic Restart on Boot. This will stop the screen from restarting itself when the blue screen appears and give you a chance to read and see what the error is. Afterwards it is ok to run Startup Repair. Startup Repair does not delete any of your personal files. Let startup repair run and then see if it boots. Once again, startup repair does not delete any of your music, documents, pictures, videos or programs. System Restore does not delete any of you documents, music, pictures, videos or programs. System Recovery WILL DELETE all of your music, pictures, videos, documents & any programs you've added since you brought the computer home from the store. System Recovery sets your computer back to the very first time you turned it on after you purchased it. I would run the startup repair, if that does not fix your problem, see if you can run a System Restore. A lot of time the Restore Points are damaged or missing when this happens, but give it a try and restore to a point before you started having the blue screen issue. If all fails you're going to need a system disc so that you can get into the Recovery Console so that you can enter a dos command in the little black box that opens up with white letters. You want to type: chkdsk /r
Let it run. It will run well over an hour and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, but that's ok. Let it run to completion then try rebooting. If this doesn't work, you're going to need to take it to a repair shop or reload the operating system yourself.

    • 1 Backup all your computer files. This means you need to save important documents like essays, data sheets, presentations, programs, etc. You can easily store it to a flash drive or on a floppy disc.
    • 2 Search for the operating disc that came with the computer. If you have lost it, you can always purchase a new one for your operating system. Remember, in order to repair Windows blue screen of death error, this disc is needed otherwise it just won't work.
    • 3 Now put your disc into the computer and restart your system. It will prompt you to press a key in order to boot from the CD. It may not show up though if your computer isn't set for booting from the CD, so you need go into the computer Bio to change the settings.
    • 4 Now you will see the win xp blue screen error again with words appearing at the bottom of the screen.
Press continue and hit F8 once you see the agreement document come up.
    • 5 To fix blue screen of death, pay attention to this detail for the next page. You will see a Repair, Delete Partition and Quit options. Push R for repair. If you cannot find this option, it should say Partition which is a part of the computer memory. Fixing blue screen of death was easy, eh?

EVERY TIME I TRY TO TURN ON MY DELL COMPUTER IT ACTS LIKE IT IS ABOUT TO START UP BUT THEN GO TO A BLUE SCREEEN AND GIVE ME A ERROR MESSAGE AND WILL NOT GO ANY FURTHER

BSOD = Blue Screen of Death
You have a problem with Windows booting.
When you computer starts up and it has passed the bios check start pressing F8 until you get the Windows start up options, select safe mode and see if windows then boots normally.
If it does then search/run msconfig.exe, on the General tab select Diagnostic startup, click OK and reboot and see if windows now loads.
If it does then you have a program or driver installed that is conflicting in Windows, so remove any recently installed programs or hardware drivers
Go back into msconfig and select Normal startup and see if Windows boots again.
See how you get on with that
